he's got a very nice pull back right hand counter he seems to employ to great effect. i've noticed he does a fair bit of mixing up the power in his shots. he seems to deliberately throw flurries without much power then in the middle of the combo lets a stinger go. you can see the hesitation in his opponents as they don't know when the power shot is coming. joe calzaghe and wladimir used this tactic particularly well off the jab for me...

looking solid so far with obvious amateur pedigree.

as to anthony yarde..he certainly looks to have a lot of potential. he has a tendency to go a bit gung ho but his shot placement and combinations look superb...he needs to be let of the lead a bit now i think but is being held back too much. he gets a bit of stick for not fighting callum johnson but now hosea burton is goading him that should make for a great fight and i see yarde winning that in a fashion as well...that will highten his profile somewhat
Interesting re Gvozdyk. Will certainly watch out for that.

With Yarde, if he gets matched with Hosea Burton, I think that would be a *very* interesting fight at establishing his level.
yeah man, gvozdyk is one of the guys i name checked in here after he knocked out karpency a few years back....been keeping an eye on him for a while.

particularly with burton's recent antagonising of him i think they could build that into a great fight

so....khan/brook apparently a done deal for march. fight will apparently be announced in the ring after brook's fight on dec. 8th.....

brook has agreed to 10lb limit on re hydration clause.

purse split is reportedly 70/30 in khan's favour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is so frustrtaing, I feel for brook, he has just worn his heart on sleave for years regarding fighting khan and khan has changed his mind and moved the goal posts so for the split to end up like that is very unfair! I hope brook wins in good fashion!

I like Gvozdyk against Stevenson. As has been said, he is 41 and looked less than stellar against Jack. It'll be a war no doubt but I see Gvozdyk stopping him.

I used to like Yarde but I can't help but feel his career has been stalling. If you were to put him in the ring against Buatsi then I would favour Buatsi. Bold I know but that's genuinely how I see it. Yarde needs to up his opposition to better himself.

Split doesn't matter so much 30% of a lot, and for someone who has had a good career is not an issue.

Just hope it's a fair fight, and there aren't a dozen other clauses put in my Khan on who knows what.

Is Khan taking not taking a easy fight prior? As it's been months since he has fought and march is far away.

No chance of another Khan fight in-between. His next fight is the third fight of his three fight deal with Matchroom. So this is the one when Khan makes his money, and Sky/Matchroom make a return on their investment into the first two fights.

Why do heavy weights weigh-in?

So I can know how they compare to previous weights wink Wilder is 2lb lighter than he was against Ortiz.

Wilder can move much faster than Wlad so will be harder for Fury to avoid.

Can't wait for this one woohoo No preference as to who I want to win, would have been Tyson as Brit but wild boar and all that. Aj Wilder would also be a bigger fight due to the different nationalities.

BJS has apparently put down 70k on Tyson to win

The closer it gets and the more I see of Wilder the more I'm thinking Fury has a real chance of making him look really quite silly. Wtf was that face mask all about? Fury looks relaxed, in great shape and has a big size advantage, which might not be an issue we're Fury not so light of foot and quick of hand. I think Fury might walk this one.

People have been being silly about Wilder - despite his record he's still pretty much unproven. Ortiz caused him big problems and he's half the fighter Fury is (with the big caveat Fury might be half the fighter he was too). He'll give the same opportunities to Fury that he did to Ortiz and Fury's much better-equipped to take advantage of them. Late stoppage for Fury imo.

Wasn't that the usual one he always wears. His style and talk is a bit unusual and contributes to his lack of mainstream love in his home country.

Some of those people are respected boxing Pundits and numeroud retired champion boxers!

It's a 50-50 fight till they get in the ring and one shows otherwise

I agree it's a 50-50 fight - if Fury hadn't been out for so long though, it wouldn't be.

At tne weigh in fury was mouthy, etc.
Wilder said nothing.

Quick interviews after, wilder was calm, fury the opposite.

So, i think wilder was more relaxed.

A face mask has even less relevance than a batman suit imho.

As wilder will keep this at distance, it is hard to see fury spoiling to a points win.

I can’t see fury knocking him out.

Wilder for me.
Fury is massively overated.
Smothering/spoiling to a points win against klitchko.
Beating chisora who was 6 inches and about 4 stone shorter.
They are tne only 2 performances of note from fury.
According to him no man innhistory could have beaten him.

Surely this is two fights too soon for Fury.

That said I would love to see him deck Wilder.

Hoping to see Fury get a proper dicking.

I’m not exactly an expert and I’d never pay to watch him but I don’t think he is even that good. Notwithstanding his personality and bigotry. Fury will get beaten

44lb weight advantage for fury I see....
I stand by my prediction...fury will be ahead on points before wilder catches him with something late on and closes the show.
There's no way fury is stopping wilder, bad chin or not...fury will be on his toes as much as possible and that in itself will stop him sitting down on his shots ...

I see a Fury win by round 8 by knockout but close on points at that time or Wilder will win in in the last 4 on fitness, work-rate and points. Fury has to see him off with his extra weight before fatigue steps into the ring for him. Fury is good on his feet for a colossus. Klitschko struggled to hit him and was technically very good and reasonably gifted. That's my money at any rate. The bookies obviously have it very different with Wilder sitting at 11/8 on. Pity I can't see it live!!
