Not sure why you say its pseudo science bks? He obviously is really into that side of golf, and taken a difference approach than everyone else in getting clubs that work for him. Its obviously working being a major winner and several tour victories.

I think he even admits he was a bit of a dick at the start, but thats changed and he comes across really well in his YT video's.

Agreed - In a world of rather dull guys wearing sponsored caps he's an individual. Interesting approach to the game, generally entertaining - heck why not go for 380yard greens - engages with the crowd and social media. Pity he went to Liv, he is just what the PGA tour needs.

Bryson has quickly become one of my favourite players to watch, but on the tour he's on, the majors and YT

His YT content is great to watch, relatable (apart from the way he hits the ball) but the way he interacts with the people he's playing with

He used to be very marmite, now I believe he's become one of the most supported people in golf

The powers that be need to sort the mess out they have created and get the tours working again now

I don't get the negativity towards him either, golf needs an anchor like him, exciting to watch he's playing really well T6 and 2nd in the first two majors of the year, he has a presence about him and seems a very positive guy.

His 'jock' lifestyle and attitude of a couple of years ago was off-putting to me so I stopped watching his stuff but it sounds like he might have matured since then.

Had a real crappy few days lately, golf-wise. Range session last night was just poor. Kept hitting my driver out the bottom of the face, irons were all a bit skinny. Similar story the last couple of outings on the course over the weekend. I know golf is an up-and-down game, but I've never had it quite like this. It's not like I'm sometimes good and sometimes bad, it's that I'm sometimes superb and other times ste, just opposite ends of the scale completely.

A couple of weeks ago I was so confident putting, the hole looked like a bucket. On Saturday morning I couldn't hole a putt from 4 feet. Once a couple miss then the confidence goes.

I'm going to give it a rest until the weekend, probably Sunday, and just leave it - my back is a little tight and my finger a little sore anyway. Maybe they're causing me subconsciously to pull out of shots

He has loads of standard YT stuff, but he does video's like these that are really relatable

Played in a Mizuno scramble at Ely this morning.

We got very lucky with the weather. It started raining as we walked off the 18th green biggrin

Our team indexes were (ish) 5, 7, 11 and 17. Giving us 7 shots.

We were 7 under gross on the front 9, but slowed a bit on the back being only 1 under with three to play. But, we managed to birdie the final 3 holes to finish 11 under gross, for 18 under net, or 54 points.

We won lowest gross and came 4th in the net. woohoo

Just got back from an enjoyable few days at the Forest of Arden - the Aylesford course is fine as a second course, but the Arden course is truly excellent.
Food was also excellent at the hotel.

I'm getting tired of Sky and its constant price raises.

Does anyone know of any other way of watching Golf on TV? I really only have it for that - we tend to watch much more stuff on netflix/apple/prime these days.

I went out for 9 holes yesterday, perfect weather and I had the front nine to myself and played appallingly, it was woeful, 26 over after 9 and I two putted most of the greens.

It was laughable and depressing in equal measure.

Solid performance from Schauffele under that pressure. Especially after last week.

A 5 year exemption from the majors has just put his price up!

I still don’t like Bryson, even after watching a couple of his YT vids. There is just something about him I find a bit off. Maybe it’s the pseudo science bks.
Have you watched any of Rick Shiels' videos with Bryson. Bryson comes across pretty well in those. It certainly changed my opinion about the bloke.

Bits of them. My son sent me clip of Bryson talking to Rick about selecting which dimples to hit when putting. It didn’t change my mind. When he starts on about physics and geometry I’m out.

Same, if it makes you feel any better, I went to the range last night to work on my angle of attack and had the shanks something rotten.

The use of a flat bunker to perfect ball striking was an eye opener for me. No flat bunkers available for distance use in our range, but I’m tempted to find one on course in an evening when there is no-one else around.

Just put a towel right behind the ball on the range.

He does another video for the same drill indoors. Creates a line with some electrical tape.

Same idea and same result.

TBF his instructional videos are pretty good, clear & concise with obviously good knowledge behind it. And he seems to have toned down the ‘jock’ image as someone else said, which is helping.

Disappointed a European couldn’t quite get it done but pleased it was Xander over anyone else, he always seems to play well without getting it done. And hits it a mile for a shorter blokes!
