Missed that - is it easy to summarise?
They've put it up on the website. It's the banter that makes listening to TMS so much more enjoyable.http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05b5j5t

Jennings gone cheaply again.
What do you think spikey, is the fact that we are now on something like Cooks 11th opening partner indicate that ODI and T20 is starting to catch up with Test cricket. We just can't someone with the powers of concentration and judgement required for an opener ?We seem to have plenty of options for "lower order hitters" eg 5 to 8. But 2 and 3 just don't seem to be in fashion.

Give him the Windies tour to try and prove himself but after that he's got to go IMO. Stoneman deserves a chance for me.FiF said:

Indeed, I know that Jennings made runs in the subcontinent, but that's a very different form of the game. Everyone has now seen Jennings flaws, and it's not too difficult to expose them.
100% IMO.I don't think he should have been playing in this match. I don't think finding a decent no2 is going to be easy - we've been looking for a couple of years now. Having 4 test matches to give one or more a go would have been better than 3.
Would be nice to see Malan put a proper shift in and Roland-Jones build on The Oval.

Issue is do you cut and run and try someone else or try and stick with Jennings against WI and then if he fails again your blooding someone new against Aus which could be horrific.

I think the issue is more the quality of the county game. Neither Jennings or Stoneman have amazing averages even at county level which is an issue. Not sure on Stonemen but Jennings technique isn't great so when your playing quality bowlers your going to get found out pretty quickly.

Change him. Now.Issue is do you cut and run and try someone else or try and stick with Jennings against WI and then if he fails again your blooding someone new against Aus which could be horrific.

Jennings technique is definitely the issue. I'm not sure he can improve for England unless that's sorted and that's pretty poor for a county cricketer.Issue is do you cut and run and try someone else or try and stick with Jennings against WI and then if he fails again your blooding someone new against Aus which could be horrific.
