Just flicked on and seen a clip of Johnson bowl about 10 no balls and none of them are being called...what on earth is going on with that?,

Will anyone other than Cook, Root or Mo score good runs?
Would have been nice if Cook had FFS.
Bell and Lyth gone, pitch seems to be doing a bit. Just need to show some application.

Normality returns far too late in the series.

I think with the Ashes won, they've mentally taken their foot off the gas...

It's ridiculous, should be a run and an extra ball plus a "free" whack. Not to mention that it's extra pressure on the batting team, infinitesimally less time to spot the ball but even so. The same goes regardless of which side bowling. Rules is rules. They even have the technology for the third ump to keep a watch and warn the on field ump if it's getting dodgy so warning can be dished out.

'The best thing about this shocking England innings is that it's lasted twice as long as Australia's first innings at Trent Bridge.'

480 par?
I was thinking that 450 was about par. I've never seen the ball swing much at the Oval and the pitch is usually true with a fast outfield, though it's a big ground. Starc connected with a few big heaves to push on well.
Now you see why I was questioning a 450 par. I thought 320 batting first -- based on the wicket and overhead conditions.

Do these lads have weekend jobs they are in a rush to get to?

Has a test series or Ashes series ever had so many quick results? This will be over tomorrow, so that'll be three tests inside three days amd two inside four days.

I think while Moeen is at the crease you can still get to 200+ from here. He can change the game quickly.

Nah. Game over. I think.

One thing we need to learn from this series is umpires or technology need to call no balls.

Agreed! Crazy, atleast 1 ball per over is a no ball. Needs sorting out.

Trying to be objective - this has to be one of the worst Test series for ages really. It's been a case of the least worst winning.

There's been some exciting passages, but the capitulation of both sides against any half decent bowling is pathetic.

I was convinced this would be a high scoring draw, but we have just looked inept again.

We have already won the ashes, nothing to play for. The Aussies have their pride, and places, to play for; they were always more likely to win this.

Weather though, could be a draw, although this is based on Met Office and not Puggit!

Re no balls; third umpire should buzz this live. End of.
