NFL (no haters)

Flicking through the news earlier and had a chuckle at the Vontae Davis story.
Decided to retire from the sport at half time after having "an honest moment" with himself in the dressing room after his performance in the first 2 quarters and told the manager he was done & didn't want to return to the pitch.
Certainly different - trying to imagine a Premier League footballer doing something similar

So close yet again, we just keep finding new ways to lose a game !
Big game Thursday night, will try and watch it but i doubt i will be up at half 1am !
Got tickets to the Titans vs Chargers game next month in London. Can't wait to go again. anyone managed to get tickets?
Yep I am. We got the Wembley Season ticket again this year, and managed to grab tickets to the Seahawks game moved from Spurs ground. So close yet again, we just keep finding new ways to lose a game !

Im going to miss the jags vs eagles as running a half in the morning and wont be back in time.
I may be barking up completely the wrong tree here, but does anyone seem to have noticed that some stadiums seem to be quieter and have less attendance than in previous years?
The Browns I can understand, and as a life(long-suffering) Lions fan I am used to seeing quiet stadiums, but even more 'stable' franchises like the Broncos seem to have a fair amount of empty seats in the coverage i have seen, and also crowd noise seems pretty quiet (admittedly I only get to watch highlights on nfl.com and on bbc iplayer, which are never of the best broadcast quality, and only show small snippets).

Doesn't seem like it was a conversation - he walked in and got fired immediately!
Pretty brutal, sad for the kid... 23 years old, but they won't put up with that!
But they got a decent kicker in though, no idea why the Cowboys let Bailey go as he was awesome for them!Pretty brutal, sad for the kid... 23 years old, but they won't put up with that!
I think the Browns will get their first win on Thursday.
NFL isnt as popular as College football, which do tend to be packed out. Having said that, you do get tiny attendances at some of the premier league games in this country if its not a decent team in

If you had a decent kicker for the first 2 games, you could have been 3-0.
Might be worth a punt on the Browns making the playoffs?!?
Could easily be 3-0 now if it wasn't for poor kicking. Might be worth a punt on the Browns making the playoffs?!?
Tyrod missed several plays last night where he underthrew or picked the wrong, Never want to see a player go off injured, especially with concussion but we would not of won that last night with Baker.
If we beat Raiders a week Sunday then i think we can go strength to strength.

Baker Mayfield fully arrived in the NFL last night.
Got up at silly o'clock to watch it and after a abysmal start, especially by the offence, 2nd half Baker and the team turned it round and held on well.
Great win for the browns ! Lets kick on now..
I started watching the game in the bar and it was pretty ste. So went home and didn't bother with the rest. Bengals suffered a double-loss yesterday. Not only were we beaten by Atlanta is a nail-biter of a game (for both teams), I suspect that Tyler Eifert's playing career is over, as a result of his almost nausea-inducing ankle injury.

Touche - I was working overseas last week and was relying on a friend, who is a Falcons fan, to keep me appraised (I was interviewing docs, so couldn't check my phone). The bd told me we'd lost - which it looked perfectly plausible, the way the game was going. I never thought to check it until later in the week. Thanks for straightening me out.Great win today vs Dolphins in the Natti. Our defense was spectacular. Who Dey!
