Yes. Bit too easy the Sri Lankans. Still, winning is a habit they say

I feel sorry for a player from my county (Somerset), Tom Banton.

He's called up for the ODI squad, given the drinks tray yet again despite being in cracking form then the game gets rained off.

As a result, he misses the Somerset matches (that we need him for due to injuries) and now has to isolate for ten days when if he'd been rightly left with his county, he'd now be nailed on to play v Pakistan. What a farce!

ETA- I'd love them to pick Hales and then for one of two things to happen. Either he says "fk off, you're only picking me 'cause you're stuffed for players" or he goes out and scores a 25-ball century, making it impossible to leave him out.

Absolutely. Pretty much my first thought when the notification popped up was "maybe Hales will get a game now"...closely followed by "it's the ECB, don't be silly"

That's got to be it for his international career, hasn't it. Perhaps it was naive to still have hoped otherwise.
