Remarkable, sad for Roger, I fear that's the last hurrah (hope I'm wrong, mind), didn't enjoy the Djokovic strut and posturing on court at the end.
Never known two major sporting events with so much tension going on at exactly the same time - I resorted to bobbing between two rooms with tennis on in one and cricket in the other because it seemed I missed less

Considering the magnitude of the event, the history on the line, the records on the line, your son watching, the calibre of the opponent, saving TWO match points while receiving and effectively having 15,000 people wanting you to lose and being quite vocal about it for the best part of 5hrs.. I’d say that it was one of THE most restrained celebrations of all time Never known two major sporting events with so much tension going on at exactly the same time - I resorted to bobbing between two rooms with tennis on in one and cricket in the other because it seemed I missed less

Fair point - he'll always be one to admire rather than love though, unlike his 2 contemporaries.
Felt for him actually. His bench do him no favours though, look at them. They look like a selection of baddies from Taken 3.The crowd were awful really, cheering missed first serves etc. Full of braying, middle aged, portly, multiple cat owning women in silly hats.
So much harder for him.
How do we feel about the 5th set tiebreak in the final?
I thought it anti-climaxed the end, somewhat. It needed to carry on for the old 2 game lead conclusion. I support the 5th set 12-12 tiebreak for the preceding 6 rounds, but the main reason was, to not tax unfairly, the winners energy levels for the next round. But of course in the final, there is no next round.

Looks like the same protagonists for the USO. Medvedev has been hyped up but he's had to work quite hard already.
Djokovic still irritating as ever, if anyone watched his match against Londero he did his best to feint injury when he was down (if your shoulder hurts why would you go weak at the knees?) Hopefully Wawrinka can test him out next round.
Federer is looking a touch slower and Nadal won't Djokovic. Nexgen doing their best to outdo each others bad performances.
Womens field genuinely looks more interesting with Taylor Townsend, Gauff etc
