Looking for a new shotgun cabinet to go into a new house that is being built; probably 8 to 10 gun capacity (but could go larger).

I'd quite like to have electricity inside the new cabinet, to run a small wardrobe heater (for dehumidification), a light, etc. I have this in my current cabinet - a Brattonsound RD7+ - but had to drill a small hole in the side myself, add a grommet and thread a cable through. It's neat enough but I'm curious to know whether there are any gun cabinets in the UK that come ready made with a (more secure?) facility to get power inside them?
I just put one of these wireless, motion-sensing, rechargeable lights in mine. Comes on when you open the cabinet.

We've just finished the very short but very lively pigeon bashing season after the harvest. Around 800 pigeons between two of us in 6 outings, and realistically could have been 1000+. It's now like a switch was turned off and not a pigeon in sight on the fields.

Rough shoot from 20th October on pheasants and rabbits plus winter squirrel bashing looming. It's been quite a summer this year.

Here she is, think I posted a picture before but now she is done. Due on the range later this morning for the first rounds.
My only comment is she is a big girl, lardy to say the least. May have to look at a diet!

Is the scope a PST II 1-6? Just got one of those and I'm quite impressed with it although I'm still to put it on something and try it for real.

A carbon fibre handguard will help with weight, although be careful when choosing one as some of them end up being heavier than an ali one once you include the replacement barrel nut.

In any case, looks good. Now shoot it!

Yeah basically a clone, from what I hear the tubes are almost identical.
Put about 80 rounds down today, walked in the first 30-40 was a bit squiffy to start with then found my handguard was not helping as there was quite a lot of play in it took that off and down to sub MOA and then tried to shoot it as tight as possible.

Then shooting 12 inch steel targets at 400yds to check the BDC and it was bang on. Cant complain at that!

Ohhhh yeah. Nice.
Does make me laugh that the yanks have to wait over 6 months for tax stamp on a can yet we have to have a coat hanger on a .22 pistol

A little help please?

I'm thinking about buying an air rifle with a 'scope for target shooting in my garden. We have plenty of space and back onto woodland. My 11 year old son is expressing an interest, so perhaps a nice chance for him to learn a little about shooting and guns too. I shot like this as a teenager (many years ago) and occasionally shoot clays with friends now, so not a total noob. However, I have no idea what sort of gun I'm looking for. Ideally I'd like to buy some sort of complete package that won't require much in the way of setting up etc. Budget (say) £600.

What should I be looking at and why please...?

Thank you in advance.

Spring or pre charged is your first question
If pre charged you need a diving bottle and whip to fill your gun if shooting a lot. That adds to the cost.
A Springer and scope are easily within your reach for much less than the above.
Do lots of research but the choice as such for type boils down to the above. I pay 4 quid for my diving bottle to be refilled and it lasts months and I'm shooting weekly. I've also had fun with an air arms tx200 Springer which was deadly accurate. I'm currently using a brocock compatto with carbon bottle and scope that prob stands me at 900 quid but is a beautiful tool in .177 and gives me 140 shots per fill at least.

Used Tx200 and scope would be my choice.....

Sounds great BUT unless you own (or have permission to shoot on) the woodland, please don't rely on it as an overshoot, as if a pellet leaves your land it's a serious offense.

6.5 Creedmore as a red deer round - any experience based opinions? I'm currently using a .243 Win.
