Watched this last night on bbc 4, quite enjoyable, even if there was hardly any footage of the fights.

Yes I watched it to. Quite enjoyable.

Rosi Sexton is 11-1, her only loss is to Gina Carano

The other woman was Lisa Higo I think, who hasn't had a professional fight since winning that belt is 4-0. Her husband seemed a bit of a tit IMO.

I'm a big fan of Rosi. She writes for Fighters Only magazine too, very clever woman.

Did anyone watch M1 challenge on Bravo 2 over the weekend? Only just discovered it and some good fights there. Watched the England Vs Japan show last night, and the third fight (sorry, not familiar with fighters’ names – but he’s Rampage Jackson’s training partner) was impressive as I’ve not seen a body lock like that before. Also the heavy English guy (last fight) has got some quick hands.

Some of the camera works are really doggy though.

My mate said he watched that and they cut out loads of the fights.

I'm off to a seminar on Wednesday with a guy who fought on that. Renato Migliaccio.

Your mate is not wrong there.... they try to fit 5 fights in an hour's show; minus adverts probably 45 mins to show all fights.

Lesnar along with Dana White have confirmed he will be defending his title in the summer against the winner of Mir and Carwin.
Apparently he had a miricle recovery and actually had a hole in his stomach. He lost up to 40 pounds as he was unable to eat or drink for 2 weeks but has managed to put 30 pounds back on already. Hopefully he will be able to get back into training and be as strong as he was.
looking forward to seeing Brock continue to destroy the heavyweight division.

i feel sorry for both of them if it turns out pudzianowski can fight half as good as he is strong.imagine that animal trying to choke you out!he`d pull your head right off your shoulders.saw the youtube footage of his debut and while it looked a bit raw his speed and aggression looked awesome

Chuffed to hear Lesnar looks okay for now and should be able to make a return to fighting this year, sounds like he had it pretty bad over the last few months.

Mir ought to shut his mouth now, he got very vocal as soon as Lesnar wasnt around, sort of like the school bully when the bigger meaner guy is off for a bit. Mir's going to get a rude awakening as he thinks it was purely Lesnar's size that caused him to lose, he seems to have overlooked the fact Lesnar is quicker, stronger, and has much better wrestling, cant wait for Mir to get put in his place again.

Mirs always run his mouth, he doesnt care if cock lesnar is around or not. Lesnars weight advantage was a huge part of his second victrory, giving away 40lbs of weight is nuts, Mir was winning the stand up until he got taken down and laid upon.

Anyone who thinks Lesnars size advantage isn't his biggest weapon has probably never rolled with someone much larger than themselves.

Glad he's not gonna die but I hope Big Nog gets a shot at him and pulls something special out the bag.

I would say Lesnar's strength advantage was a huge part of his victory, and his gameplan. He was stronger than Mir. And Mir says that usually in the gym he is the strongest one. He dropped 20 lbs from the summer. It might have been training related.
Lesnar weight 276 for his Couture fight I think. Would have mean a 30lb weight difference with Mir if the same.

On another note in Steve Bunce's column in Boxing Monthly he makes a remark about how MMA had its 1st death in Britain last year and it went under the radar (unlike, he argues, in boxing where it would be a big deal).

Certainly went under mine as I've never heard a thing about a death in the UK. Anyone know what he's referring to?

Wow. Just watched the Lesnar interview...multiple colonoscopies...cryvomit
Wonder if it was his supreme fitness that helped his miraculous recovery?
Funny to think that even after losing 40lbs he would be bigger than most heavys.
Also, as has bene mentioned on this thread, he post interview pundits said it was indeed possible that Lesnar had this sickness when he faced Mir.

Yes, it does seem remarkable/odd (depending how cynical we are!) that he was so ill but now after a fairly short time says there isn't even a sign of it. I don't see how general or muscular fitness can heal holes in diseased stomachs so fast (he even mentioned that 8 hour deadline for the op 1st suggested and that he had begun to heal even before then), weird . . . But I am a cynical barsteward.

I bet the Canadians loved his remarks about their health care system!

I wonder how much of the weight loss and the quick 30lb gain was muscle rater than fluid or fat? He still looked big sat next to Dana White. I suspect he'll come back motivated to be as fit and strong and technically better than ever to prove a point but still think Mir now has a real chance to beat him.

Some good up and coming bills were confirmed on the show too - Koschek V Daly is the one I'm most looking forward to + Little Nog V Forrest Griffin. Was surprised at Diego Sanchez moving up to welterweight and into GSP territory.
