Any recommendations for decent outdoor court tennis shoes? I have wide-ish feet and a sore right big toe when playing (maybe from serving). TIA

I have the same issue as my Nike Vapor are a little narrow so sadly moving away from them. Friend told me the Yonex Lumio are wider so just ordered the new Lumio 3, which are on back order for another week or so. Quite cheap for such a good brand too. I need new shoes every 3 months so every little helps!

Oh aye, always good! Looks like decent value. I guess you don't know yet whether the sizes are accurate?

That's a risk indeed. I am a 10 in Nike and when I have strayed to other brands like Adidas and Asics 10 was fine too. I guess they benchmark sizing against Nike but touch wood this will work out again as I have no experience of Yonex shoes despite owning 3 of their sticks.

I went for 10. 5 (I am a 10 in Nike) following the advice from the retailer. The shoes are fantastic in terms of support, comfort and traction. I am never going back to Nike for tennis.

And they are dark grey, not green. And the price has come down a little.

I see Laura Robson has now retired at 28.
She showed so much promise winning junior Wimbledon at 18 and getting into top 30 in world.
Unfortunately she was dogged by injury, wrist and then hips which ultimately prevented her from fulfilling he potential.

Have a look at K-Swiss shoes. I’ve been playing in them for years as I prefer the wider fit and sole.
My normal shoe size is 10 and they always fit spot on. Currently using accomplish 3 model and have another new pair in a box.

As others have said there is a bit of variation in size/fit with some manufacturers. Babolat shoes for example do fit me but always a bit tight and generally a narrower shoe.

Current kswiss accomplish 3

Cheers, will give them a go - when you say normal shoe size 10 do you mean in Nike ?

Hi, I mean that any shoe I buy, (brogues, trainers, anything) 10 are just fine.

You see below both size 10 (EU 44.5) but the babolat on the right is not as wide as the kswiss and appears slightly shorter. I can wear them casually, as I did today, but not quite right for playing.

I find the wider fit of the kswiss very comfortable and for stability too (bigger footprint)

Junior championship was at 14. 18 was when she got the silver with Andy Murray at the 2012 Olympics.

Carlos Alcaraz.

Is he going to do it?

At 19 his level is frankly unbelievable. At 19 Nadal didn’t have a top 10 serve and Djokovic couldn’t volley to save his life.

Novak vs Rafa tomorrow under the lights! Seems criminal that it's 'only' the quarter-finals. Wondering whether to pay £7 for Eurosport or jus suffer Bet365's stty video player.

A great result. Tsitsipas is in a class of his own…when it comes to being a prick. He seems to be far and away the most obnoxious guy on the tour. A pity as his tennis is great to watch.

Think Nick Kyrgios beats Tsitsipas in obnoxious ranking.
