Well this couldn't have been scripted better. Yates definitely looking tired, understandably, massive two days coming up - still think they're suited better to Yates than Tommy D; however we're three weeks in and anything could happen.

Another great stage to watch. What a Giro this is turning out to be - brilliant

I keep telling myself that they are all clean. I hope I am right.

Interestingly, if there were no time bonuses, Dumoulin would actually be ahead of Yates in the GC by 7 seconds as of tonight.

Yates out the back with 12km to go up the Finestre and 86km of the stage to go.

Sky have 6 riders on the front turning the pace up.

Dumoulin still in the main group.

All over for Yates. Will Froome finish in Pink? Got to be one of the best comebacks if he does.

The organisers will be asking for their money back. Not sure Froome will get anywhere near the podium at this rate.

I had the thought that Froome would try to break Yates today and hope to get second place in the final GC, but what he is doing by himself this afternoon is pretty astonishing.

He's obviously tapped into the, erm, reserves.

Can't believe Yates. Gutted for him.

Yeah, would have been fabulous to see Yates win it.

Froome though... if he pulls this off it's one of the greatest rides of all time (assuming he is clean - well, cleanish).

In all honesty - I've given up wondering and just watch the fireworks.
