Look up "grit and determination " in the dictionary and it would be a picture of Murray.
Agree. He isn't exactly a spring chicken anymore either, so that only impresses me even more.

BBC been "bigging" up Murray all day, can't see it myself and no doubt they'll be shooting him down tomorrow.
Good luck to him, he'll need it.
Well it would appear the BBC were right and I was wrong in my thoughts on the match.
Well done Andy, hope it all goes well today.

I never understand why the match from the night before isn't the first one on court the next day? Any idea?

Because a finish at 10.38, then warm-down - likely treatment on a groin pull for AM, re-fuel, sleep, pre-match warm-up, eating and so on. Simply to give a sufficient gap, I think.

Yes, this - also I think to respect the scheduled 2pm match - sort of the banner fixture for the day, all the Royal Box VIPs assemble then so they need to get what they were promised...

Exactly, they've already produced the line up. It would be unfair on those players playing first on to disrupt their warm up and approach to their match.

Playing second adds less disruption to the running order.

Murray will always get an evening slot for ratings, the BBC don't pay
the LTA big bucks and not have a say in court scheduling.

My wife was invited along yesterday for a full corporate day with Evian - she was given a Number 1 Court ticket for the day but while it was quiet before Murrays match the Evian boss sneaked her and a couple others into the Evian area in Centre Court with the hope the actual ticket holders had gone home for the day and they wouldn't be asked to move - they had, and she got to watch Sir Andy Murray and the greek git.

Still little in it, but Murray not reaching the level of intensity he had last night… error count creeping up. Not looking so good now…

That’s a pity but the Greek fella is a very good player, and didn’t really give Murray a sniff on serve, especially in that final set.

Very disappointed. He’d have won last night if they could have kept going.

I said the same to my missus as well. The age gap between the two of them bit Andy on the arse today(Andy's recovery rate couldn't compete with his for me), whereas Andy had the bit between his teeth last night in comparison.

Yes but Murray could also have hit the wall last night physically, particularly if he had had to all the way to a 5th then.
