Why do the French shirts have the Italian flag on the arm. And what’s the motif on the other arm?

Both sides highly frustrating to watch for differing reasons.

The French are playing like the French. They'll hopefully turn it on in a while.
Why do you want the French to win?

Just watched France vs Italy.

How much longer are we going to have to put up with the woeful embarrassment that is Italy in the Six Nations?

It does add to the fun of bonus points or not plus a lively trip to Rome 😁

You could say the same for France on that performance.

Although I suppose they brought upon themselves by dropping all the good players.

It was a very lacklustre performance from them, especially in the first half. The Italians at least seemed to be trying different plays and tactics. All the French were doing was giving the ball to big, fat blokes. OK, so wearing down an opponent in the first hour and then going for it is hardly unknown in the game, but it doesn't make for attractive rugby.

I just couldn't get into the match, and I think that I was joined by the French team.

To be fair I can see the logic in dropping those he did, there does need to be a certain standard of behaviour to adhere to surely?

The question has to be whether he'd have dropped them if it had been England or Ireland yesterday rather than Italy...

Bet you weren't thinking that 65 mins into the game against England. A team that has all the riches and resources in the world at its disposal.

And should the Tri Nations be thinking the same thing about Argentina, who can barely buy a win these days?

O'Shea is prepared to take the inevitable beating that comes from going up against some of the best teams in the world with a squad that has barely any caps at this point. And if, as he said, it results in a competitive team over time then that's all that can be reasonably expected.

Just to point out that the potential replacements, Georgia, lost their second tier competition against Romania last time round. Romania, a team that just last week lost to Spain.

My point being that replacing Italy with Georgia won't result in some sort of sudden celebration of competetitive champagne rugby by the newcomers. Just a dour forwards orientated game that would be taken apart by top teams with ease.
