David Beckhamto play for Los Angeles for $250 million
Discussion
As you can see from my copying and pasting I Have a few issues with some of the complete ballcocks being talked!! Don't want to look a smart a*se but...
the greats did all play in the NASL circus, but not very well and at walking pace. The MSL is not much better.

mclaren would not have gone back on his decision as it would have made a fool out of him. he has tried to get paul scholes back but that was eriksons decision to leave out scoles.

And how does that league equate to veteran pub football, albeit a number of 'has beens' have joined over there. Think of how many so called 'has beens' there are or has recently been in the premiership these days. Sheringham has never had great pace, but has he ever needed to? You'll be telling us Larsson is past it next. anonymous said:

I don't recall George Best playing in the MSL at walking pace having watched the docs on him recently.
Whatever the squad of the US 2006 team they are in the FIFA top 6 (last time I looked), which I believe is higher than us.
Finally, Pablo, Scholesy retired from England. He wasn't pushed. SGE tried to tempt him back but he's having none of it. I for one am glad, he's been a revelation this season for Man U.
Not trying to put the world to rights here, just making my point
Taking on board what you said Tonker, you have a very good point. I haven't really seen games in fairness. I also found out that Steve Nicholl plays over there. I thought he retired over here in about '98, so 'nough said really... Oh, and Paul Dalglish!! On this evidence, Beckham should score 30+ a season for the next 5 yrs
Be onteresting to see how it pan out for him, and whether Sky see it entertaining enough for British TV. I mean we have the WCW wrestling, right?

I see there's a possible for him to be on loan into the Premiership till the end of the season anyway - let's see if he takes that and proves himself or decides to prep up the meeja bandwagon instead - the transfer window is still open.... - he's already turned down Bolton (surprisingly), so that leaves realistically Spurs, Newcastle and Villa as people with money to spend and a heritage - where he could go to (or utterly bizarrely, Liverpool) - I can't see him in a million years going back to ManU.
I agree, personally I think there is more chance of him joining Hartlepool Utd than Man utd. Come to think of it, Any chance Becks????? I'm sure we'll all chip in ten bob each for you!
There's a few not happy, especially the bloke with the cute surname

There was a time he was the heart and soul of the england team- when he moved to madrid he seemed to lose something, maybe his fitness, but who can blame him, if someone offered you around £500000 a week would you turn it down and say i'll go back to england to play for a club probably in mid table in the classic British weather.
