Weve gone slightly off topic here but, past glory's are great if you were alive to see them. Its sad for todays fans of clubs that have never been to a final or even been to Europe

The buzz and happiness that brings to you and your fellow supporters is amazing

I know Newcastle fans are quite high up there, thinking themselves a big club with good fans, when a few years ago they were having attendances of less than 20,000.
When was that then, dates please?

If you compare results to attendance we must be one of if not the the best supported club in the UK.
Sorry to burst this particular bubble but if you look at this list of your 1990/91 season:

http://www.toonarama.co.uk/matches/newcastle_resul...

...you consistently had HOME gates of anything between 10,000 and 14,000.

1991/92 was about the same - so we're talking about within the last 15-16 years here.

Granted you were in a lower division but perhaps thats the period VR is alluding to.

The average home attendance for 1991-92 was 16,879, your figures of 10 to 14,000 are misleading.

Prior to John Hall and the Magpie Group taking over at Newcastle in 1992 many supporters including myself and two of my brothers were boycotting games in order to help force through some changes.

We weren't too good that's for sure but it's easy to spout off crap when you don't know the full facts.
