This game reminds me how irritating Jiffy is as a commentator.
Why do you find him irritating?
He makes Geoffrey Boycott appear cheerful and upbeat by comparison, he is dreadfully partizan, every decision that goes against Wales is criticised, it's like sports commentary down under. I don't hate the bloke and he's waay preferable to John Inverdale but I can see why he is unpopular with some viewers.

Ironically my main reason for finding him irritating wasn't uttered last night - "NUMBERS!" I don't find he adds anything to the commentary apart from usually stating the obvious, and using stock phrases to describe every game. Think he should take some lessons from the BT/ITV guys - e.g. Ben Kay is excellent in the explayer role.

Eddie Butler has to be the worst rugby commentator. He has a few catchphrases that he recycles every game and it could be a game between Germany and mongolia but he’d still mention England.

“Driving maul like England”
“England did this last week”
“Fortress Twickers”

Etc.

This should be the match of the 6N. Really looking forward to it. I'm not neutral but I'd prefer a close match whatever the outcome.

I reckon it'll be close - with Wales taking it

Just opened a beer - being sensible otherwise I'll miss the England game

A fabulous pass. He might not have risked it there wasn't an advantage of course, but that shows flexibility.

Excellent play from Wales. A superb try. Not quite so sharp from Ireland.

Good try there... Will be a tough game for both teams!

I'd like to see Wales win but an Ireland win and a 'decider' Vs. England on Paddy's Day would be kind of cool... Even if I'll be in Geneva frown
