The **BOXING** thread (Vol 4)
Discussion
Fury is a just a nasty, arrogant prick. Faux respect for people, thin skinned and over confident after his testing by Ngannou.
I hope Usyk takes him down and out-boxes him. The only question is whether Usyk has the power to be able to put Fury on the ropes. I suspect Fury will just attempt to lean on him from the bell using the size difference to his advantage.
Additionally, I read the comments that Hearn had given the BBC. I cant believe that he's never met Frank Warren given the fact both of them have the UKs biggest boxing talents between them.

I think Furys front foot demeanor is because he's worried and the last 2 people he was like this with were klitchko and wilder, obviously if someone gets in his face he is giving it back or if he needs to sell the fight eg chisora 3 he will but I think he is worried and trying to do everything in his power to influence the result and usyk appears to be the first person he cant really out mind game him as he personifies the stoic persona.
Fury's main game is on the inside thats where even me the anti Fury would give him credit he's very clever at using the grabbing and holding but he aint going to get anywhere near Usyk to do that. He will be body hunting but that lends itself to Usyk countering as he moves. If it does go ahead it has the prospect of being a pretty dull fight for civilians but a real treat for fans of the science.
I don't think I've ever wanted a foreign fighter to beat a brit in my entire long lifetime no matter what went on pre-fight... call me a patriot..
But I'm making an exception for this fight because Fury is really beginning to sicken me and I find I can no longer support someone who is everything I can't abide in a member of the general public and would actively try to avoid in any social situation.
His personna is not deserving of holding the title of Undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
I appreciate your opinion may vary, but I'll be placing a fair bet on Usyk on the night and cheering him on. That I'll be doing that also saddens me very much.

Fury got absolutely schooled fighting Ngannou on the inside, in close he got bullied and battered with uppercuts etc. If that's his main game then he needs to significantly up it for Usyk.Lee Jones Jnr said:
Which performance would you say was when he would beat Usyk?
I’d say his second fight with Wilder was where he looked the best combination of mobile and powerful. Usyk didn’t drop AJ so I’m not sure what power he has for Fury? This is of course if Fury is now done, the press conference was a shot show and he looked rattled. fridaypassion said:
Usyk is bookies favourite who would have though that 12/18 months ago? Well I would but you know....
Fury looks the (slight) favourite.https://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/tyson-fury-v-ol...

A few years ago he should have been too big, fast and strong for Usyk but not now. He could still win if he can use his physical advantages but he won't outbox Usyk.

Which performance would you say was when he would beat Usyk?Usyk wasn't great against Dubois either let's not forget. They are both coming off the back of somewhat lackluster performances.... I feel like Usyk is the one that's more likely to turn the tables and learn from it.
At the same time, if Tyson is really going to take the fight I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't take it seriously. Could his ego take being beaten??
