My local ground keeps certificates while shooting, as did Oakedge (Staffs) that we visited the other week
I've shot at Churchills at Swinton, Westlands near Annan, Coniston Cold Skipton, Crabtree Farm Lupton, Paintmines Carnforth, Blackpool Sporting Clays in the last twelve months.I tell them my DOB at Paintmines, Westlands you sign in with a keypad, but they ask to show them your SGC.
The other three I just give my name.
The Pay n Play at Bisley Long Siberia used to require certs to be left while you did your round, but that stopped after when the NRA took back control from the people that had been running it, and now you just show cert and insurance when arriving, which is the case with any of the other commercial grounds I've shot at as well.

Hello Jim,
I shoot a Beretta auto and my name is Mike.
See you there sometime.
Mike.
Mike, it was my first time out on Saturday in over 12 months. What a waste!I shoot a Beretta auto and my name is Mike.
See you there sometime.
Mike.
But I absolutely loved it, I think it’s a great set up there, and it’s a good vibe - everyone is extremely friendly. I’ve been going now for about 10 years. I used to shoot at a ground that was known as Lindale shoot but it sadly folded..
It’s a bit of trek for me (about a 40 minute drive) I live close to Ulverston.
I shoot with a Berreta 682 O/U, and sometimes an old SBS - to mix it up a bit.
I was shooting a lot of DTL there which I do enjoy, but I’m getting back into the sporting. I was finding when I did DTL, I was only there about 20 minutes and it was all over so quick!

Hi Jim,
I used to shoot at High Newton many years ago then John Bell moved to near Methop and I shoot there too.
We might know each other, there are a couple of others from Ulverston way who shoot at Ed's
Mike.
Yeah Mike, if you mean Meathop, a turning off the dual carriageway way about halfway along sign post for Ulpha?I used to shoot at High Newton many years ago then John Bell moved to near Methop and I shoot there too.

That’s the shoot I referred to earlier as Lindale, (as I knew it) I used to shoot there most Sundays.
Jim.
Anyone really surprised that the police have a case to answer?

I definitely will in the future. I didn't expect it to be cheap because what show is... But to be brutally honest it was a £3 cafeteria burger at best
I had one and it was terrible. I dont normally eat stuff like that but the other two chaps went in there and one of them was paying. We should have walked over the hall and out into the lobby200Plus Club said:

It really got my back up when watching the news tonight that the inquest jury said there had been a "catastrophic failure" at Devon and Cornwall Police. & then the chief constable’s response was a call for “changes in national firearms licensing policy”https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-646749...

Every time there are calls for additional laws to combat firearms crime I would first like to see an analysis of just how the existing laws, if correctly applied, failed to prevent the crime. Asking for more laws to the detriment of the unprotected minority that we are members of, purely to prove that "we are doing something" or to deflect from Police failings is outrageous but unfortunately the general populace seem to fall for it every time. Partly assisted by the media who IMO seem to be rabidly anti gun.
