Nice one Jim.

I played yesterday and although whilst I had only 2 blob holes I bogied the entire front 9, which was completely avoidable. Tee shots were good and left me in great position, I just couldn't get my irons going.

I hit a great approach shot into a par 4, pin high left of the flag, birdie putt...... only to find out I had hit the wrong ball.

Hey all, long time lurker first time posting in this golf.

Just got back into golfing after a year off, I am what you'd call a seasonal golfer, would play when the weather was perfect and would put the clubs away when summer was over. I just got back into now that work has quietened down and I have more time on my hands.

I have a left handed Taylor made Burner set from Driver, 3 Wood, Hybrid 4-SW along with a Cleveland lob wedge and Odyssey putter which I purchased a few years ago as I'd not played since high school then. My 3 wood face has had a piece chipped off and therefore I am looking for a replacement. Just wondering if any of you fellow PH golfers have any recommendations please.

Also is it worth getting custom fitted for a set or just buying off the rack LH sets?

Thanks in advance.

Great work James, a very good reason to be happy with that result. Congratulations.

So, The Open starts shortly - who are you putting your money on?

Fleetwood / Poulter / Garcia or somebody from over the pond or even a Saffer?

I have a feeling (and it is with a lack of imagination) Rory is going to do this.

Hmmm, Rose, Johnson (Dustin, though Zach in with a shout), Molinari, Day, Stenson, and Reed.

Casey will lead going in to the final round and will fk it up as always!

of course none of them will now make it in to the Top Ten!!

I'm useless at betting at golf. Always tempted to make my best guess, and then lay them off.

Hopefully I'm going on Saturday. Big drive, but should be worth it I hope.

I'm on

Simpson - 125/1
Day - 30/1
Cabrera Bello - 70/1
Sullivan - 90/1
Oosthuizen - 70/1

all EW. I've given up betting on anything that resembles a favourite. Should be a great weekend of golf!

I'm thinking either Fleetwood (Links specialist on great form) or Molinari (great ball striker, on some epic form currently).

I'm in there like swimwear on...

Noren
Reed
D Johnson
Leishman
.
.
.
.
.
..and don't laugh, Matthew Southgate. At 125's, and with a decent record, he's worth a couple of quid at those odds.

Completely understand the Southgate bet, he'll be far more comfortable at Carnoustie than he was at the US Open. Big value too.

Saw that on Reddit. I'd thin it straight into the guys knee cap, that'd learn him for not flinching!

Fabulous.

Given his recent disgrace, fair play to Phil to risk castrating the lad on camera! I suppose Phil was a lot more confident than I would have been, with good reason...

Got invited to join a Superbru group on it, but having done my head in trying to pick four players per round at the Masters I passed on the Open. Literally any one of them could win. Betting on big golf tournaments is too hard!
