I wonder why the PGA have gone so nuclear over this? I doubt very much it is purely down to SA's human rights record, more likely they are scared their gravy train is in danger as SA have bigger pockets than they do.
It is also suits their purposes letting those who have signed up to the new competition be interrogated by the media on how could they support such a regime and take their 'dirty' money.
I think with hindsight, the PGA will look to have behaved very badly over this as the quickest way to make someone do something is say don't do it.

Watching it on here - https://www.livgolf.com/watch
No annoying logos or copyright claims that I have seen for the last hour or so.
Bit confused though, after the outrage and 6th Form level moralising from the various golf journalists I follow on Twitter - it just seems to be people playing golf?

For a more relaxing view here's the Canadian Open live stream. Fitzpatrick and McIlroy both doing well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0MxsORvZu8

Have that on in the background on Sky Sports Golf, must admit I'm finding the LIV stuff more compelling at this point. rlg43p said:

Yes.
At our club, you have to have someone else complete and sign the card for it to count towards your official handicap. I think this is supposed to be standard practice.
I thought as much. How often do you get a card in? Do you play every week?At our club, you have to have someone else complete and sign the card for it to count towards your official handicap. I think this is supposed to be standard practice.
Only in winter, when winter tees shorten the holes to a large extent and preferred lies are in place, are the rounds not entered as qualifiers.
On the LIV front I think the Poulter and Westwood interview released yesterday is just embarrassing, it's already been said but they should fess up that they're doing this for the money, cracking question though "would you play for Putin?"
Ignoring the politics side of things, I wrote this on another forum about my 90 minutes of watching LIV when I should have been working.

Honest review after 90 mins or so of it as a spectacle:
The Good:
- Definitely more action than comparable tours, all the players on the course at one time means lots going on to be covered, less time for the bits of golf that annoy us all. For instance, at no point did I wish we had 5 minutes coverage of Cantlay doing AimPoint whilst Faldo chats nonsense instead of what was on.
- No adverts. Beautiful.
- Good to see some players featured from tours we don't see as often - Asian Tour, the Amatuers etc. Adds a bit more flavour in seeing if they can compete with the "big boys". Not doing a terrible job so far either.
- Course looks fantastic - would definitely play. Greens especially look absolutely superb.
The Bad:
- That leaderboard. I mean seriously it's just incomprehensible nonsense most of the time. Considering it's a stream, can they not get that displayed separately and leave more room for golf?
- There is a LOT going on. One thing that makes golf watchable for me is that you can dip in and out. Do that with this it takes a while to catch up due to the point above.
Overall? I'd watch again - needs refining a little but the format itself was good, probably more of an entertainment focus than we're used to.
