Hi Everyone,

I’m wondering if anyone knows of any way to get tickets for Gloucester?

I’m taking the other half away for a weekend and she’s up for a game as we’re not far…the shed end would be best.

We’re looking for the Bristol game on 30th March.

Anyone with any contacts or knowledge, I’d super appreciate a pointer.
Thanks.
Odd that it's not on the Gloucester website. Even if it's sold out I'd expect it to be there to say so?
My recent experience of the Gloucester Rugby website is that they seem to only advertise/sell tickets up to a month out (I could be wrong). The Prem Cup semi tickets, when they became available, then stated that they were only available to members. I gave my details without committing to any form of membership and they then let me purchase.

You may well be right, although the European last 16 game the following week is already on there.

Bonkers game - highest scoring premiership game of the season - 88 points on the board after 67 minutes and 15 against 13.
Crazy end to a crazy game. 101 pts. Must be a record
It was telling that is his post match chat Lam specifically said that Steve Lansdown (owner) told him to go back to exciting rugby and stop kicking it!

The 6 week break is pretty frustrating now!

"In one of the National Leagues/Premierships, the highest score is Newcastles 156–5 defeat of Rugby at Newcastle on 5 Oct 1996. While in European club competition, Saracens beat Dinamo Bucharest 151-0 at Vicarage Road, Watford, UK on 20 October 2002."
That was a 2 division game in a massively one sided season. Newcastle had bought (by Sir John Hall) and assembled (probably) the first fully professional side with a lot of bought in players! I vaguely remember that Rob Andrew (signed from Wasps) went there and signed up loads of internationals as no-one had contracts (the game was amateur) so Newcastle had Dean Ryan, Nick Popplewell, Tony Underwood, Gary Armstrong, John Bentley, Doddie Weir, Pat Lam, Tim Stimpson and Tuigamala that I can recall - probably a bunch more as well.

In other news it's reported that the Saudi's are looking to invest in Glaws, Newcs, Leicester & Saints.
Rule would allow them to buy upto 10% in each.

Pretty sure I'd be done with Bristol if it were us...

Yes. A big case of what could've been.

I really don't understand what's in it for the Saudis? Why would you invest in a Prem Rugby team at the moment when...

1. The club cannot invest any of your money in the team to improve them because of the salary cap.

2. The current salary cap is so low that we're likely to be mediocre at best in Europe for the foreseeable future.

Who wants to attach their brand name to mediocrity and regular losses?

I have supported Bristol since the days of Watt, Pullin and Rollitt. I was born a mile from the Memorial Ground. I certainly wouldn't support anyone else whoever invested

Well we would all like to think that, but the internet says for males in Wales, expectancy is 78.6 years.

RIP Barry, I knew him fairly well from my time in Cardiff. A lovely bloke who just wanted to ask about my lad’s sporting activities (one is a decent swimmer, the other a footballer) and what I was up to on stage.

Really sad news. I cherish my memories of him.

They'll tell you when tickets go on sale. Will be a busy derby so don't leave until last minute. they usually have early bird offers too.

Amazing to think that Barry John’s playing weight was under 12 stone.
Compare that with today’s musclebound gym bunnies!
Retired far too early, but he had to earn a living and the pressure to perform at a high level for no reward must have been a bit galling.
