Still 34 overs today. Think we will stay out for a few more.

At least whilst Buttler is in

When I am down about the Cricket, I remind myself that at least its not Strauss or Cook as captain, otherwise we'd still be trying to bat until Tea tomorrow and give ourselves 20 overs to bowl'em out.

Lead is 401. We have a cunning plan but what is it?

That would be the Strauss and Cook who Captained the most successful English cricket teams then Garg? Give the argument up Garg, you weren't winning it 15 or 10 yrs ago and you aren't now smile

Vaughan captained 51 tests and won 26
Strauss 50 tests and only won 24
Cook 59 tests as skip and still only 24 wins

I demand you retract your lies wink

Surely the better comparison is how many Tests each of them lost though? It's quite likely that stringing out your batting will lead to more draws & hence fewer losses.

It depends if your mindset is to win, or to not lose.

I would except for that whole England ranked 1 under Strauss thing :P

Root is onto 25 victories btw. Could well become the best of the lot!

Are those figures test matches or test series? I would argue its winning the series that counts.

Cook did indeed often employ the brilliant tactic of throwing the opposition into disarray by allow England to be humiliated in the first test of the series.

Michael Vaughan (2003-2008 - P51, W26, L11; Win percentage 50.98%)
Andrew Strauss (2006-2012 - P50, W24, L11; Win percentage 48%)

Was lucky enough to to be on a table with Brian Close at a “Fred Trueman Memorial Dinner” at Lord’s 12 or 13 years ago. What a character and what a privilege that was. The organisers knew that they were doing though we were all so excited we got feather carried away in the charity auction.

Wicket for Leach will have given him a massive boost after the treatment he got in the first innings. All about momentum it’s got potential to be fantastic day’s play tomorrow. The way limited over cricket has changed Test Cricket is incredible....West Indies set all sorts of records chasing a big fourth innings total against Bangladesh on Sunday....debutant called Mayers made 200 in the fourth innings to chase it down.

Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy An-der-son. Masterclass of bowling this morning, one of the truly great overs castling both Gill and Rahane with two absolute jaffa's.
