The upcoming WBC Tournament wants to show some initiative to improve the inconsistent refereeing. To include a 4th & 5th judge and also instant replays.

Looks like the fight with Chisora isn't happening then.

What a shame for Dave Allen, I suspect he was hoping to get a third go at Lenroy.

Yeah, Allen would be something of a long shot against Joyce if he beats Thomas; likewise for the British title should Hughie Fury overcome Sam Sexton. That said, he’d probably earn a decent pay-day fighting either of those two...or if he hangs fire for a bit, no doubt Joyce and Fury will have their eyes on bigger prizes so those belts could be up for grabs again before too long.

Jumping the gun a bit, untill it is announced it isn't done. You could end up with egg on your face!
Nah...the fact eddie has gone on record to say they have even namechecked breazeale proves that my line of thinking was right.....wilder doesn't really want the Joshua fight yet. ......

And if he doesn't end up fighting breazeale it will still be someone very beatable for him.....

Nobody will be happier than me if he turns my prediction on its head and strikes a deal with Joshua though brotherbeer

Seconded....that cut was really unfortunate....i wanted to see it again....however it plays out I hope Allen earns a good few quid with a couple of good fights however they come about

Well, if you’d backed this up by pointing out Breazeale let his opportunity to fight an IBF final eliminator against Pulev quietly slide a couple of weeks back, we could have given your prediction some credence...without that, should your forecast come to pass, in my eyes it proves nothing more than a broken clock is right twice a day... wink

hehe

All a bit of a merry-go-round in the HWT division at the moment! Breazeale turns down a fight with Pulev for a potential crack at Wilder...with the Pulev opportunity then being offered by the IBF to Dillian Whyte instead...who was also trying to get a fight with Wilder...who in turn is negotiating with AJ...who’s also got Povetkin on his tail...who recently verbally accepted a challenge from Dillian Whyte... wobble

Canelo banned for 6 months.

Technically a 1 year suspension but reduced to 50% as he co-operated... Got off lightly.

GGG vs Canelo 2 now expected in September. A lot of bad blood too with the back and forth on social media this week, so will probably make more money. GGG will probably get a better deal too.

Tough one to call, Frampton home advantage is massive but can often work against fighters. I'll admit to getting on YouTube this week to watch some Donaire highlights because even though he's been around forever he's not really been on my radar. Over the hill? I don't know. Lastlast few years, i get the feeling Frampton isn't quite at the races, seems to just do enough, his last performance was quite lacklustre and unless he's improved his mind set I can see him having a tough night on Saturday.

Not sure why cooperating should lead to a reduced ban. Seems against the ideals of the process.

As much as I'd like to be a talented sportsman, the nagging doubt of a tilted playing field would be a constant downer. I can see how it would motivate you to beat the opponent whatever and beat the cheat but running, fighting, cycling etc against a dirty opponent who is cheating must do your nut.

i think donaire was at his best a few years prior to the walters loss...when he was cleaning out guys like jorge arce he looked great. for me his absolute best was when he was wrecking guys like darchiniyan.......but that was 10 years ago!

a switched on frampton wins on points by a couple of rounds i think....

agree he hasn't looked stellar of late though

I agree with the points on Frampton it does seem like he’s been trying to do just enough lately rather than really taking off.

He should have to much for Donaire now though so I see him winning on points with probably the same for Khan.

Neither card is stellar so I think il be flicking between the two although the frampton main event far surpasses Khan.

Always had a soft spot for sam egginton as he’s a real trier getting by on determination more than skill.

Natasha Jonas too as I’ve met her in person and she is gorgeous! cloud9

The Walters defeat was a bad one physically (Donaire's first/only KO loss), but psychologically I don't think was the same fighter after Rigondeaux. Until that point he was considered one of the p4p best in the business, had just been awarded fighter of the year and was the heir-apparently to Manny Pacquiao...but was so comprehensively out-boxed that night I don't think he's looked the same fighter since, even though he went on to win two further world titles. Unfortunate for Donaire, but at his peak, and at the right weight, Rigondeaux was something else...
