When was he last in the states?
Apologies, I thought you'd bother to click on the first article and maybe read the first few sentences. Don't worry though, I've done it for you.He was in the States to promote the Klitschko fight at the start of 2017 after being granted a visa by visiting the US embassy. It is incorrect to say he isn't allowed to enter the States. HTH

I'm amazed that people are getting so caught up and involved with the negotiation process.
Nobody outside of the promoters for each fighter knows what the deal is. Until the fight is signed, I genuinely have little to no interest in who is apparently ducking who. I don't think it's in the make up of a fighter (with a few exceptions) to be scared of another fighter. Yes, some fights are high risk and low reward but this is high risk and maximum reward. I think they're biding their time by both fighters making 1 or 2 weak title defences before cashing in on one another.
For various reasons, I am enjoying the fun and strategies in play. Also it is only AJ getting 'when are you fighting Wilder' every 2 seconds everywhere he goes/social media that will get this fight done, as we have had too many Mayweather-Paq, Brook-Khan and so on type delaying affairs.Nobody outside of the promoters for each fighter knows what the deal is. More back and forth for those who care:
hyphen is on to something here...if you take interest/entertainment from the build-up, you’re getting your money’s worth when the PPV eventually rolls around; even if the fight itself turns out to be something of an anti-climax.
However, where once more I don’t see myself seeing eye-to-eye with you is the point around it being necessary to get in AJ’s face to get the fight made. Without wanting to be Eddie Hearn’s mouthpiece, the facts are Joshua fought for a world title in only his sixteenth professional fight when there were plenty of people saying it was too early. He then has a unification fight in his nineteenth contest against the dominant heavyweight of the previous decade, and less than a year after that, had a second unification fight to become a three-belt world champion. Joshua’s promoter then gets on the front foot and makes a substantial offer to get the Wilder fight made, then when a counter-offer comes back, makes it crystal clear that they are certainly interested and are willing and keen to meet and discuss. And despite all that, you’re coming out and saying the only way this fight gets made is by weight of pressure to force Joshua’s hand?!?!
In respect of the e-mail, I think Finkel needs to give it a rest now. The counter-offer has done its job of raising the profile but he’s starting to make more of a mockery of the situation coming up with a line of reasoning like that. The tweet from Wilder is bizarre too but as he’s not the one driving the commercial negotiations, thankfully that’s no big deal...

The bants is only meaningful and interesting if the fight is going to happen, presumably at this point it has to, it's undeniable, but, for instance Brazeale does for Wilder and the whole malarky is just embarrassing for all involved. The history of heavy weight boxing has too many fights that were talked up and never happened.
