Game well and truly on here. Rugby is so much more enjoyable as a neutral!

8 minutes to go - 3 scores required.

Great game. Looking forwards to seeing Japan face SA next.

Unlucky for Scotland, was always going to be the toughest group to progress from.

What a good match. Japan just playing thrilling rugby and as noted above putting northern hemisphere teams to shame with their style and passion.

Fair play to Japan, deserved win.
Tonight they would have beaten any but a couple of teams in the world, and neither of them would be from Europe.

Didn't they beat the 'Boks in the last RWC?

Japan getting to be very tasty.

Was certainly a hard-fought tussle, especially the second half. Another well deserved win for Japan.

What a great game. Japan bring some energy to the field. The All Blacks it is then for us.

Absolutely incredible rugby from both sides. Japan certainly deserved the win though IMHO.

Blown away! smile

The way it was going, could see it ending up a draw if Scotland had managed one more try... so essentially the same as cancellation. (I haven’t forgotten the 4 try BP)

Really impressed with Japan, but even with home advantage can’t see them getting through a QF against SA. But would be very happy to be wrong!

Do you mean easiest?

B: NZ, SA
C: Eng, Fra, Arg
D: Wales, Aus.

Which of those groups would have given Scotland an easier run at the second qualifying spot?
