Anyone but Eddie - only the RFU would hire a coach with a worse win percentage than the current one and call it progress!
I get the impression one lucky win in RWC and the RFU all swoon - there's no hope, especially if he brings Borthwick with him!!
you'll be lining up Faz for the job then?
Err no, why would anyone suggest Faz? I'd much prefer Jake White to Eddie Jones though
well you did say anyone but EJ <pedant mode off> rofl
Yeah yeah, fair enough - looks like the RFU have ignored me AGAIN on coach selection - all seems a bit rushed to me...

TBH I'm also not 100% that EJ is the best out there - however those that are better are unavailable (Wayne Smith, Steve Hanson & Graham Henry to name 3). I hope that EJ does produce a better 'brand' of rugby from us - but more than anything I hope he picks on form rather than reputation (I appreciate that you can't change every match due to the #2 or #3 having had a better week and consistency is important but if someone is consistently producing the goods better than the incumbent then replace)

A bounce of the ball the wrong way and they would have beaten us. And that was the best England team that there's ever been.
to be fair some poor decisions by the ref made that a closer game than it should have been.

All we can do is hope that Faz is removed, likewise Catt and that EJ instills the same pride that the Japanese have (though to be fair it's not comparing like with like)

Just to expand on this, the Telegraph have a timely helpful piece.

2. March 2012. Banned for 8 weeks for biting whilst playing for England.
IIRC that ban seemed a little harsh as the fingers bitten were actually being placed in his mouth....

the thing is EJ has stated that everyone starts with a fresh slate under him. Obviously (by necessity) there is one person who won't (step forward CR) but other than that we're clean, past misdemeanors expunged. On a pure ability in position DH has to be considered as a captain, likely so too does mr Angry after that though you're really hunting for names. The only other is JL and he's only just getting back up to speed after a year out (IIRC) - let him concentrate on getting his game up to 100% and then learn how to lead rather than everything all at once
