He may be lacking integrity, however he's still one of the best, if not the best snooker players out there. Regardless of how greedy he may have got the fact remains.
Plus are we not all allowed one chance to redeem ourselves?
Just to make it clear I was rooting for Trump last night, I think the way he's played throughout the tournament meant he deserved the title.
From my point of view though, the NOTW set him up for a very good reason - because they knew he would take the bait, because they had information he had done it before.Plus are we not all allowed one chance to redeem ourselves?

It's like the shoplifter that gets caught - "I've never done it before, honest!"

He should get another chance but the problem a lot of people have with it is his punishment didn't fit the crime, he was guilty of conspiring to match fix yet only got a back dated 6 month ban and a £75k. He some how dodged a huge bullet.Gun said:

It should have been for JH to mention it if he wanted. She should get a terrible bking for that, the stupid hard-hearted inconsiderate bh.

Completely agree. It wasn't the first time in this championship either that a BBC interviewer spoke out of turn bringing that up. Whatever I think of Higgins' antics with fixing matches, I have been in his shoes with the whole inappropriate-mentioning-in-public-of-a-recently-deceased-father thing and it is hard to easily sweep away without emotion. She needs a slap for that. Not watched snooker for years, it got very staid. Only started watching this championship because someone mentioned a local lad was doing well. I was a bit worried we'd have another Ian Holloway on our hands - we get the mick taken out of our accent enough as it is. And I was right - another proper Bristol boy.
