For me in past years its been stuff like Nick Heidfeld absolutely smashing the hill record,Jonathon Palmer in the six-wheeler,Justin Law in the Silk Cut Jaguars and Rod Millen in his Tacoma but this year i think it was seeing the Aston Martin ONE-77 and of course the Vulcan.

The tyrell p34 was back again, which was cool. But my favourite bit was probably wandering around the winners enclosure on Sunday before the prize giving.

Vulcan for me, although the Wolf running up the hill at 100% commitment was pretty special

Nick Heidfeld for me too, we we up towards the top of the hill at a crossing when he passed by at silly speeds just a couple of feet away. Nutter smile

1. Jean Ragnotti doing silly things in his Renault
2. Meeke vs Loix on the rally stage
3. Seeing the Ferrari 458 Italis in the flesh (yummie - want one now!)

Jean ragnotti doing 360's, Ken block exiting the pits sideways, the last NASCAR burnout on Sunday (virtually the whole course apart from the last corner due to his tyre coming off the rim!), the Mercedes 300SLR coupe (Uhlenhaut Coupé?) and loads more!

Hard to have just one, so I'd have to say hearing Sir Stirling Moss at the Q&A session at Lotus on both Saturday and Sunday. A living legend and a really funny bloke to hear tell his stories.

Would also have to mention....

Interviews/Q&A's with Mark Webber, Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen
Seeing the new McLaren MP4-12C
Seeing the Aston Martin One-77
All the 80's & 90's rally cars in action
Buying a new pistonheads T Shirt and some stickers wink

Toughy. I was only there on Thursday, but still a fair few to choose from.

Aside from the Marcos XP (a friend owns it, so was good to see him again), the Jacques Laffite Ligier F1 car was a particular highlight as this car (and Jacques) were favourites of mine in my youth.

On the other hand, the Canon Porsche 956 was always a favourite in period too and I saw it race many times and then there were all the cars I'd never seen before and didn't think I ever would, like the Lotus Indy racer and the gas turbine, the Auto Union and the Alfa Group C racer.

...and then there were all those amazing concept cars of which I think the Ghia had to be my favourite and possibly jusst taking the hightlight of the event title for me.

God alone knows how hard I would've found it to pick a highlight if I'd been there on a full FoS day! smile

On Friday it was Lord March at the wheel. Seeing it coming back into the pits and chatting to the CTL guys who rebuilt it would be one of my high spots.

And seeing the multiple 360 spins fron the chap driving the Renault 5 Turbo thingie would be another favourite.

All-time Festival moment was watching Sir Stirling drive 722 up the hill before it's retirement in 2005.

This year I enjoyed Hamilton taking to the grass at speed to let a charging Chris Evans through in his 250 California.
