According to the Goodwood ticketing website, children under 13 can enter for free with no ticket required, yet a lot of the recent posts include Child tickets in the listings.

Am I missing something?

They are referring to the 'junior' ticket. For ages 13-21. Children up to 12 years of age get free entry.
