What a great event it was today, I was just wondering if anyone happened to get a picture or video of my TVR Tamora, was in the public carpark but drove past the main gates a few times, and saw a lot of people taking pictures/videos, its a bright orange car and made most others sound quiet.
I think I might do; were you revving up outside the main gate in a que in the orange TVR? With some encouragement from the crowd?

A red RS200. I thought those were just an urban legend.
A very interesting car, probably one of the rarities of the day, it was an S spec so had a lot of creature comforts like air con, electric windows, electric mirrors, stereo, central locking, better carpets, and a drive mode selector next to the gear stick among other things.

Have you been to a breakfast meet at The Hare in Roxwell? I haven't been this year, but there's usually a nice selection of cars. Nice low key feel, free Coffee & Pastries, brilliant! http://www.pieandpintinns.co.uk/pdf/breakfastclub2...

Loved it, well organised, and if one gets up early, lovely empty roads, (A272)
Meeting point at Clacketts Lane at 5.45am
My GT3 tipped over to 40k at the weekend, so totally worthless now, and loving every minute wink

The wife and I parked up the car on Sunday in the paddock and walked to the main entrance to watch the cars arrive. There were a group of six 10-11 year olds and kids don't lie! "That's not a Supercar, neither is that, that's not either" They were pointing out the Datsun Cherry GTR's ( all 50 of them) the BMW Z4's et al, the boxsters ( I ve got two and they ain't supercars) the Audi RS, standard 996, Vauxhall UTEs, I mean Monaero or whatever it's called.
It's called Supercar Sunday and its got too many people kidding themselves, nobody wants to stand and look at a bloody boxster on Supercar Sunday. They do a soft top Sunday, a German Sunday, a Japanese Sunday etc etc. Yes goodwood gave out the passes but it's up to people to exercise some common sense. There was an MR2 based 360 on the grid and an F40 and Diablo GTR parked a mile away at the far end of the line up!

Someone is gonna call me a snob, NO, if I go to a good Italian restaurant I don't want Fu@in Sushi, I like Sushi but I went to an Italian. Everyone should come along and have a great day, which it was but should park in the carpark not fill the grid with Datsuns and 996 C2's. I mean even the Porsche guys don't need to see that, hence the prices ha ha!

It's Supercar Sunday.......not Reader Wives!!

Im with you on this one wink The early cars Old 60s Jag saloons etc, there are many other Goodwood Breakfast meets that meet their category, as you also said there is a soft top Sunday, My car only qualifies for this day the whole year. Boxster? Supercar, I like them but there not a Supercar.

Still I had a nice morning, Now can anyone tell me what time the gates opened in the morning? I arrived around 7:30 and the paddock was almost full! So come on, who was first in biggrin

We arrived at 6.30 a.m. I drove down (scared myself silly) following a friend in his F40. His was the first car on the grid, there were none on the circuit. Didnt mean to arrive that early, it's just that he drives sooo bloody fast, that said he was hanging back to let me catch up.
