I went down yesterday, there was a lack of French cars in the main display area, better cars in the Paddock area!!!!!

Shame i was not able to take my "interesting" car into the Paddock, appears that the guys on the entrance only allow certain cars in the paddock area, most amusing when my M3 Sport Evo and the black Audi Quattro Sport were directed into the main packing area.

Just think of the number of races and rallies these cars have won.

Oh well will have to wait until August to show off my pride and joy.

I was there about 08:15, the 'show area' was pretty much full up with the Paddock full not much longer after that.

Craig, I would guess that your BMW was not allowed in due to the fact it wasn't built in France - nothing to do with the pedigree.

I went to the Italian one last month, and they let me park mine in the paddock. Went to the French one, made me go in the car park.

Think it depends what time you get there as much as the car you are in ?

If you got there early, on a French themed day, I can imagine the fact the cars you mention are German may have influenced the marshalls decision

I'm looking forward to the next one....Supercars

I've taken the M3 along several times and have been pointed to the main car park most times. Think they make it up as they go along.

We had a great morning, and can't wait for next month. Some beautiful exotica in the car park, but was I the only one blown away by this wonderful 2CV ?

I didn't have a chance to speak to les pilots, but they were steering from both ends ! Does anyone know more about it ?

I thought it was a good day. Only really let down by a blatant lack of knowledge/iggnorance of some of the marshalls as to what is a rare French car worth putting on display.

This, for example, was at the back of the Paddocks:

Anyway, some of mine....

Even managed to squeeze my own car in lol!

We stood and watched the rather dapper guy at the entrance for a bit who was making the decisions and it was rather amusing. "No, not interesting enough" (points left), "yes, quite like you" (directed to the tunnel), "Ah, French mutter" (points right) etc etc but the classic was "looks miserable" (points left).

I don't think anyone should take parking in the car park versus the paddock too seriously. It is a free event after all and quite fun and relaxed. There's no queues at 7.30 BTW...........
