The Rally stage was filthy! All good fun though, our poor white car was brown by the time we got back. All the cars were covered to be fair. Some ar$eh*le had written in the dust on the bonnet of the EB110 in the Cartier, I wouldn't too pleased if that was mine.

Not quite the concours and elegance they had hoped for....

I just though it was a really disrespectfull thing to do, hope the paintwork was ok afterwards, the dust was quite fine so hopefully wouldn't mess it up

Yeah, I thought that, given the nature of the cars there and the value, I would of thought that they would have had someone going round cleaning the cars during the day. It's bad enough to go back to the public car parks and find half the field on your car, but when it's something like this and it's on display I'd at least not wanting it to look like a barn find !.

I was in Car Park M behind the GRRC members section and cannot understand why they have quad bikes or whatever they were roaring round and spray dust right next them. Not good enough organisation really.

Indeed, I saw one bloke wiping the dust off the window so he could look in, his radio hanging around his neck bumping the paint work.

I mean FFS!

On Sunday on the Cartier lawn there was a woman (who said she regularly volunteers to do this job) with a bucket of water washing one of the classic Alfas and I also saw one of the Alfa Museum staff cleaning the Carabo. A friend who had been invited to display his car took a duster to it at various times during the day. I agree the Bugatti E110 seemed to escape the attentions of anyone with a cloth.

The fact that not only did people write in the dust but no doubt others stood back and watched!

Exactly the same with VetteHeadRacers Exige

So glad this wasn't mine - sort of reminds me of the Gumball rally film when the young lad takes the Roller through a dust storm and it strips the paint clean. Funnily enough it made my old land rover look good with some dirt on it!
