I think that they probably have an automatic cut-off on the 15k or whatever the figure was if it is now saying "no more". Should mean that if your application went through then you WILL be getting a pair of tckts through - don't think I have had confirmations in previous years either, tckts have just arrived.

Did you get an application in then Dan or was that your first attempt?
That maybe true actually, can't recall last year getting anything by email but I thought that when you applied it said congratulations rather than this time it not really saying anything particularly helpful.

When I applied yesterday both my colleague and I got a final page that said something like thank you for entering the draw.

Here's hoping an auto cut off worked properly and the tickets arrive soon...

Can't promise anything but if both my brother and I managed to get a pair each then you may be able to have the spare pair.

I called the helpline yesterday and was told that it's likely the first anyone will know is when tickets and a 'Congratulations' letter drop through the letterbox.

Probably start posting tickets out Saturday (ish).

Are we to assume then that unless we got a screen message saying 'Sorry - you were not successful' then we'll be getting tickets? Would be nice to know whether I need to get on the site and buy some.

That's the impression I got - The operator wasn't the most helpful I've ever encountered . . . .

I bought my Friday ticket at the weekend, and it's already arrived smile
Reason being, 2 years ago I applied for the Times tickets then it appeared to be a draw and I hadn't won any tickets - fortunately a PHer came to the rescue and gave me his, so I could go after all smile
Posted 2 weeks ago in the thread - I think the congratulations envelopes are sent out first - then can't remember if it was just an e.mail saying you hadn't won if you hadn't.

Last year mine just arrived through the door, no congratulations, just an envelope with tickets.

Ditto.

And the year before. And the year before that.

I never got a congratulations envelope, nor the freebie tickets ( guess I was born unlucky biggrin ) - fairly sure others have posted that they did get them last year and the year before though.

To find out if you have won the Times tickets you can call the Times helpdesk on 020 7860 1130 (option 2), give your postcode and address details.

Tickets are getting posted out today / tomorrow for delivery on Wednesday.

HTH and Good Luck everyone.
