I find TV coverage of Goodwood events pretty poor to be honest - way too much concentration on "celeb" attendance and not enough talk about the cars and the races.

Hopefully, at some point the live streamed material will end up being viewable on Youtube. I'm prepared to wait for that.

My thoughts exactly.

Does anyone know what the daily capacity is for the MM compared to the Revival?

It felt awfully busy today, even with a bigger than usual spread right around the circuit due to the good weather.

20,000 I believe. 50,000 at the Revival.

It was the busiest MM out of the 5 I’ve been to.

I think this is the first one that has sold out?

73 did when they opened it to the public if I remember correctly. I'm sure Saturday has sold out more than once. Obviously not comparing with last year as loads of people couldn't make it.

I didn't think it felt crowded or over populated at all. Always room in the grandstands and the paddock was most accessible. Only place I saw which was busy was above the pits, which I wasn't bothered about.

The live stream was a nice way for Goodwood to give a little back ....
/\ This.

I'm not a member, but over the years I've given lots of money to Godwad - attending two MM, a few FOS and most of the Revivals.

I've never wanted to attended all the two or three days at whatever Godwad event I've been to
and have (until now) enjoyed dipping into the live stream on the days when I'm not there.
Exactly this. My position is very similar.

From memory the live stream last year had about 6/7k viewers, from the link posted here there’s less than 500 viewers.

Fabulous two days - 700 mile round trip , cost an arm and a leg but the cars are amazing , the customer care exemplary and the circuit- entirely litter free (Some of Croft's litter is so old the prices are in shillings) . Lots of people milling around start/ finish but God knows why- the place to watch for me is St Mary's, where Mike Jordan in the TVR (especially) was blindingly fast .And the sight and sound of the 275GTB and 250 GT0 was ethereal .

Yeah I try not to think about what the weekend actually cost me (fuel, hotel, ticket, fellowship) but it was definitely worth while. Superb racing, lovely atmosphere and an almost incomprehensibly quiet circuit away from the paddock.

Bottom of Lavant always the place for us smile

Tend to alternate between there and the disabled viewing platform. Unbelievable to be up there alongside the grid when the big boys put the hammer down at the start. Wonderful racket!

Alas the days of walking the circuit and watching from out the back at St Marys are gone with dad these days.

An awesome, world-class event once again. My favorite Goodwood event by far now.

It was bloody cold first thing though!
