No, I planned on attending but didn't make it. No excuses, too lazy to get up at 6am.
Fair enough - it is the day of rest after all. I left Reading at 7.30 and got there about 8.50. There were still show cars arriving when I left at 10:30.Edited by Olf on Sunday 3rd August 22:59

Goodwood never have a Theme that suites the VXR8, I have one and in my mind it's a Supercar and a Thoroughbred all rolled into one, but not in everyone's eye.
I think a good Theme for the Goodwood B/Club would be "Cars with over 500BHP", now that would be a good one in my view and can you just imagine what a spread of cars that would turn up.
Can't see that happening though, but think ear defenders would be a must if it did.

Had a great day yesterday at the Pre-66 event in my little Mini. Very chilled out and relaxed morning with some great cars in attendance and nice talking to people with stories of these cars from "back in the day". Nice to see Lord March also wandering around his back garden as it were

Personally I think "4-door Sunday" or "Super Saloon Sunday" would be a better theme, but anyway at least you boys have V-power Sunday coming up so stop ya moaning Edited by NotNormal on Monday 4th August 10:46
Zero proper vetting of cars to be Pre-66. I'd say a fifth of the ones on the circuit were much later or Modern! I counted at least 6 Bloody kitcar Cobra's...........!
Main thing for me was the blast down and back though

I think Over 500BHP is the way forward, just have a Dyno set up at the gate to qualify.
And the Dwarf would not get in with his Vespa !!!!
We popped down from north Essex, an early 5.30 start and a decent drive down on very quiet roads.
These breakfast events remind me of the early FoS events as opposed as to what it has become.
A great array of cars, fantastic weather and a cooked breakfast to boot, surely days do not get better than yesterday.

Better late then never.
Really enjoyed Thoroughbred Sunday & was delighted to see not one, but 3 examples of one of the most criminally forgotten cars ever. The Gordon Keeble.

other highlights? Seeing the ex Dennis Jenkins E-Type & just being there.

I counted three as well but according to a recent post over in the GK owners' topic, there may have been four.Next month's Classic & Sports Car magazine has a feature on Gordon-Keeble.
