Back to CT for a holiday 30 Dec - 18 Jan (end of contract so might stay longer for some training)....

What is the first thing you do when you go back?

Straigh to to Checkers and buy case of Pongracz, 2kg boerewors, 5L assorted Liquifuit, 12 Just Juice, Biltong, droewors, blitz and Rooikranz. Go home, light braai and get on with it...

We are fortunate to have apartment in Fresnaye (Sea Point) with a garden to braai in and off to house in Betty's Bay 6-12 January. Tough life in Africa! Golf, sailing, beach and food about sums it up!

Just back from CT after 4 weeks.

Observations:

1. Cape Town is beautiful....the good is very Good, the bad is Bad.
2. People there are bigots and fantasists who think that it is the best place in the world - wrong!
3. Prices have gone up dramatically in the past 12 months.
4. Services has gone down dramatically in the past 12 months.
5. If they elect Zuma - heaven help them.
6. The contrast between rich and poor is astonishing.
7. The 2010 football stadium is SO in the wrong place. It is an ugly monstrosity right in the middle of an upper middle class area and needed to be in an underdeveloped area.
8. I will go back at the end of 2009 again.
