Which Klein colourscheme? Contains Bike P*rn
Discussion
I've picked up an old Klein Quantum Pro frameset as a new project.
The plan is to go for a respray as the current paint is fairly knackered (18-24 month waiting list )
The Klein paintjobs are stunning, only problem is I can't decide which one to go for.
In case you're not familiar with the schemes, here's my shortlist:
Moonrise
Gator
Coral Reef
So, which would you go for?

Bottom
First one is camper than a tent
Second one is dull
Third one best of a bad bunch , although to be fair quite nice!
Funny - I actually see the bottom one as 'camper' and like the top. I think it's a bad pic though as I've seen other versions where it's a bit brighter.First one is camper than a tent

I didn't know Klein ever made road bikes and I think prefer the MTB schemes.
I almost bought one of these, instead of my Orange P7. Kind of wish I'd gone for the Klein in hindsight.
Have you enquires as to how much a decent paint job is going to cost?
As that will no doubt be a multi coat finishes that will need to be perfect to look good.
My local painter charges around £200 for a one colour and painted decal finish with a top quality level of finish, he re did some bits (Colour blends) on my Master and it's amazing.

There are two well-regarded specialists for Klein paint and repairs - both are in the region of £500 for strip, prep and repaint in linear fades. As that will no doubt be a multi coat finishes that will need to be perfect to look good.

Specials such as Nightstorm would be extra.
Unfortunately the paints used on the original Kleins are no longer available, so it's hard to get a close match.
They are also hard to do well, so I wouldn't trust any old paint shop to do it.

How do you distinguish between the pre and post Trek era ones?
