Heads up, Lidl cycling gear special - starts Monday 22 March.

It's not on their website yet.

One interesting thing they are doing is a winch kind of thing for suspending your bike in a horizontal position from a ceiling.

Our local Lidl had the stuff in today - picked up some socks, gloves and a couple of computers - all seem ok apart from the computer with the Heart rate monitor - batteries flat & the wireless sensor battery had leaked - Otherwise, it looks like a great bit of kit for £14.99.

Went in today got the tool bag rechargeable light set and some gloves not the best stuff in the world qualitywise the light set is rather flimsy plastic but a very good price for my very limited budget

I went in at lunch time and got the cycling glasses. They seem quite good and represent good value at £7.99

Got a pair of shorts. Pleased with 'em. Not so pleased with the fact that they have an exact copy of the Bell multitool that I paid £9 for at the weekend for £1.99.

I just bought the SPD shoes.

Quite heavy but just as good as the worn out Decathlon pair that just went in the bin and a bargain for 18 quid.

No wireless computers at Charlton either.

The bottle of Tyskie beer I bought while I was there was surprisinly good too.

Bought 4 pairs of the socks. £5 in total. As good as my £19.99 pairs at home.
