How is your 2014 mileage so far?
Discussion
Lost/forgot my strava password - user name was my old work email, so just started again.
So since 1st July, a rather modest
988 miles
37,744 ft climbed
108 rides
61 hours 32 minutes
One the plus side - 1000 miles since year will be clocked up as I arrive at the office tomorrow.

10,580 miles / 17,026 kms
583 hours 45 mins
387,218 feet / 118,024 m
236 rides
145 miles / 233 kms - longest ride
My target was 10,000 for the year so I am quite pleased I have managed to reach it early - now hoping to make it 12,000 miles.....
On the downside, I have not worked all year - started looking for a new contract (in anger) mid-September but not managed to bag one yet......economic upturn - pah......!
Low interest rates encouraging people to borrow more than they can't really afford stimulating the economy at the consumer end, probably!!!

Year-to-Date:
Distance - 1,689.6 mi
Time - 177h 8m
Elev Gain - 78,363 ft
Rides - 109
Even after downgrading my target to 2,500 miles for the year, it's still looking unlikely that I'll achieve it. Still, it sounds better when I remind myself that I was off the bike injured for four months, and everything since February has been done on my MTB. If I can average a little over 70 miles per week for the remainder of the year, I ought to make 2,200 miles (just about).

Just cracked 3000 for the year so far, on track for my targeted 4k so long as I keep the pedals turning through the winter.
I've had a few weekends of laziness but I'm off on my first club ride on Saturday which should help contribute.
Just about to crack 4k! I should manage it over the weekend as I have my weekly club ride followed by a mini-Sportive on the Sunday.I've had a few weekends of laziness but I'm off on my first club ride on Saturday which should help contribute.
Mega pleased by how my riding has come on this year. I don't think I'll quite crack 5k but 4500 may be an achievable stretch target.
I only bought a bike in May and only starting riding properly in June, so this is 5 months worth:
4,600km
33,700m climbed
118 rides
202km longest
December is looking busy for travelling so I'm hoping for 5,000km to the end of the year. Next year's targets will be 10,000km+. Might be a challenge given everything that's already in the diary for next year!

I was targeting 2500 miles, I'm not going to make it
Year-to-Date
Distance 1,181.8 mi
Time 129h 1m
Elev Gain 38,156 ft
Rides 145
I'm impressed with my elevation gain as I live in a Flat Part of the country but have had a few 2000ft + rides away from home.
1500 miles is my revised target - 50mile / week average from now to the end of the year - may be doable, I'm on target this week anyway!
All MTB this year - think I may invest in a Road Bike for next year, a change of jobs has given me my evenings back.
Does peoples above include Turbo Trainers / Rollers?

That is good then. I aim for a 100:1 ratio of climbing, feel like I'm cheating if it's significantly less and I go and attack a few hills to make it up. Must be hard (easy? ) living in a flat bit of the country!
