The "Show off your bike" thread! (Vol 2)
Discussion
I've been toying with the idea of adding a hardtail 29er to the fleet, mainly for when the full bouncer is overkill. Browsing the net the other day I saw this Trek Procaliber 8 reduced to £1045 from £1700 so I decided to give it a go. The rear end has a bit of flex engineered in with the Isospeed decoupler so that should lose some of the harshness from the rear end, the reviewers seemed to like it.
Broadman Hybrid 8.9E. Haven't been on a bike regularly for coming up to 4 years now, will be doing the commute to work on it tomorrow instead of taking the car.
Will be hoping the electrical assistance makes my legs feel 10 years younger/fitter, and my helps keep the mid age podge under control!!

First commute on the new bike this morning as it was clear and dry. Specialized Tarmac Disc Comp with Aerofly bars and S-Works stem. Very happy with it! Can't help but think that some deeper section wheels would be a good upgrade though so got my eye on some Hunt Carbon 50s with oil slick spokes given that it's a bit too stealthy just now!

Really interested in how you find it, I was 50/50 then opted for an Arkose D3
My first ride is tomorrow (assuming i manage to put the pedals on correctly so i will report back.the Arkose D3 and Pinnacle generally were on my radar too, they offer very good VFM, but in the end i just wanted the Canyon more, a heart over head purchase really!
Gave the full susser a super quick clean, chucked a new bottom bracket in and refitted my reverb. (It’s amazing how horrible it is to ride with a fixed post after running a dropper!) Ready for a little trip to rogate tomorrow, I’ve only ridden it a couple of times and only properly once up at BPW so I’m excited!
Need to get my Orange Crush built back up next, it donated some parts to build the Santa Cruz.
Pic before reverb went back in

I've been spending the winter out in Madeira so decided to upgrade from my trusty Radon Slide 160 Carbon (which is an All Mountain design) to a new 2020 Canyon Strive CF 7.0.
The bike 'looks awesome', but annoyingly I can't ride it yet as I bust my thumb riding a black run with Freeride Madeira shortly before the bike arrived. Doh!

and the old Radon which will be repatriated to the UK and sold once I decide to head home.

To say it's "quite a lovely thing" is massively underplaying your hand fella! It's a thing of great beauty, and no mistake...Barchettaman said:
I have project envy now!I had hoped to buy a Belgian lightweight 12-speed that was for sale locally for a quite reasonable £149. My wife has forbidden it, though, and for good reason with a new bathroom in the pipeline. Sad, because older bikes in smaller sizes rarely become available, and this one looked like a great fit for my short legs...
...I shall just have to keep my eyes open for an even cheaper "project" that I can keep below her radar.
