That is a lovely looking bike. Not up to speed on Raaw. Is it steel, the tubes have that slender look?
6066 aluminium- I think the sheer size of the bike is making the tubes look slim, in person they are quite chunky.

Looks excellent, components look like a top bit of kit. Enjoy

It looks lovely, love the look of the Ohlins too. Have you had a blast on it yet?

It's very good, spent four hours pottering around the Surrey Hills with my girlfriend yesterday (hot!) and some first impressions:

- When you are moving it around, stood next to it, you feel the weight
- But you don't when you are riding it
- Apart from maybe uphill, but it's also got fairly aggressive tyres, so it's hard to unpick rolling resistance from that
- However, it climbs very well - as long as you can spin the crank, it'll truck over just about anything
- Surprisingly, it rewards out of the saddle climbing, in a way that my smaller trail bike doesn't, stiffness, anti-squat, better damping? Not sure what's causing that
- It really comes alive when it's going fast, over rougher terrain (not that there's too much of that around here)
- I was expecting it to be like a Megatower that I rented in Morzine, but it is *much* keener to turn, hold it's line and (probably suspension playing a part here) rewards pumping through the trail in a way that the soggier Megatower didn't. That was a hire bike, so - could be any number of reasons why it wasn't that great however.
- I really enjoyed myself yesterday, and can't wait to get out on it again. I wonder if there are any tickets for Rogate on Monday?

Not *tremendously* well suited to heading down the Pleney Red though - it'd need to spend some quiet time in a garage afterwards, probably for some time. Still, for zipping around on tarmac I imagine it's quite good fun.

My 2014 Enigma Etape. It gets used throughout the winter with its heavy wheels (Mavic Open Pro with DT Swiss 350 hubs) but I’ll take the guards off it & put some Dura Ace C24’s in & use it for light touring duties. The frame is lovely & has held up really well, the only downside is lack of clearances, 25mm tyres are really cosy when the guards are on, these are PDW Fenders & come highly recommended. The plus side of its geometry & clearances is that it rides that bit “livelier” than a out & out winter bike & feels sprightly, especially with the lighter wheels in. It’s not particularly heavy either.

Yay! Not only another Enigma owner, buy another Etape!

Here's mine, in commuting spec. Ordered my C2W voucher in Feb 20 - that went well! Originally was for a Reilly Gradient, then Mark Reilly messed me around loads and simply would not take my money. Thankfully, Enigma stepped in and properly went above and beyond to save the day.

Really interesting to see the differences between ours. Mine has bigger clearances (up to 35c, 32c with mudguards) and different head tube/finishing plus the obvious change to brakes - but the lineage is clear.

It's very, very close to my perfect bike. All I'm waiting for is Shimano to finally get into the 21st C and release a properly full wireless group. Then Enigma will be making me a Signature frame with Etape geo, tiny bit more clearance, no bosses anywhere at all and solely an internal routing for the only thing running through the frame - the rear brake hose.

Yesterday would have been my Dad’s 75th birthday. Poor thing died of a brain tumour 10 years ago. Decided to take his best bike out for a ride around Chiddingstone. Beautiful bike and a beautiful day.

Chapeau 80s, and thoughts with you as you reflect on your loss.

That's a great bike too, so your old man had taste!

Snap. I have a grey one.

Fantastic trail bike.

If you've got some spare cash, a storia coil transforms it.

Got a Formula coil on my Dreadnought, so trying to keep this a bit more trail bike focused. Can almost overlap the Druid/Dready

I've seen one of those before but never had the opportunity to ask an actual owner, what's the benefit of the rearranged seat/chain stay and subsequent 'third ring'?
