Even the Pashley roadbike has Shimano 105. Looks like the main problem building an English bike is a lack of gears!

Well I wouldn't say that! I'm accepting that I won't be able to get absolutely everything English. Just keen to see what I can get. smile

Middleburn cranks, and a Hope Pro 2 rear hub with their integrated freehub/cassette. Pro 2s to run (Hope) disc/disc brakes depending upon handlebar type.
