It was on the bay of evil..... I think the final bid was 151
Bargain as it was 100% new, but many places where doing them for 199

early Feb is the time to look for summer gear....but since last year the pound/euro exchange rate and recovering fiscal climate has messed up those potential wins.
I filled my boots last year...well filled my cupboards

I got an Endura Steath and a GORE Cosmo camo.

Both are excellent. Cosmo is possibly a bit warmer and is more breathable, but the Stealth is fully waterproof, and is still bery breathable.

They're both great.

Thanks Ed - im leaning towards the stealth jacket - tried one on today and it looks superb quality.

One question - Do you wear many layers under the jacket? The XL fitted nicely over a couple of thin layers but if i wear too much i might need to go a size up.

Merino and maybe a short sleeve jersey. I have worn a base layer and then a cracknfail long sleeve, but the Stealth is cut to not go over too many other layers.

If you're after a nutter warm winter jacket, leave room under the Stealth for a full sleeve jersey.

Top jacket. But DO try the Cosmo too. Evans have got em.

I have a stelth too. For cycling I can't see me needing more than a merino under it for cycling. I went skiing in mine yesterday and had a merino and a thin fleece under it. It was a bit on the chilly side but I lasted all day and wasn't shivering or anything like that, don't like being too hot at all (-15 on a mates car thermometer in the carpark up Cairngorm yesterday).

Edit to add. Evans have the Endura stuff and a 10% sale at the moment. Plus you can get 5% cashback with Quidco. (I have just bought a GoPro camera and used these discounts).

With 2 long sleeved layers underneath it's more than adequate on the whole. Anything more than light rain for extended periods and you will need a waterproof layer though.
