I am starting to loathe Strava.
Just got an update saying I have lost one of my KOMs in Merton, I check on the site and I have lost it to a guy who rode on January the 15th, at an average speed of 10mph with a maximum speed of 81mph. Brilliant.
Not only that, but as it won't show you the full ride stats for others for more than a split second as it navigates to the segment page, you have to keep going forwards and backwards on the browser and memorise the data from the snapshot of the screen.
Top right of the segment page map, click 'back to ride'.Just got an update saying I have lost one of my KOMs in Merton, I check on the site and I have lost it to a guy who rode on January the 15th, at an average speed of 10mph with a maximum speed of 81mph. Brilliant.

??Not sure what bit of my gripe you are referring to but thanks for trying - the segment page is all blank top right - all you get is fastest times, then below the menus to flag / actions.
When you click on some peoples rides that your not affiliated with - as it takes you to that segment of their ride, it snapshots the entire ride for that person. I have done it a lot, seems par for the course. So although a segment may be x and y - you can see, for a split second, the entire ride - average speed and distance on the right.
For example - when logged into Strava I click on the segment I am referring to.
This is the link - when I click on it I see for roughly one second the full ride stats before it then takes me to the segment.

The 'you can see it for a split second' bit. I assume you want to see the whole ride that the segment time was set on for more than a split second. If so, on the segment page, click the date next to the persons time (I think this is what you're doing), then the map that appears, on the top right in the grey band there is an icon 'back to ride'. this will allow you to see the entire ride for as long as you desire. I think this is what you want to do, if not then please ignore me.Not sure what bit of my gripe you are referring to but thanks for trying - the segment page is all blank top right - all you get is fastest times, then below the menus to flag / actions.

ETA-flagged the ride. It's 2 clicks, but only after you go 'back to ride'.

Can't do weekends.
Plus, we are all guilty of being competetive are we not?
Week night crits, TT's-no one can doctor the time sheet or cry about dodgy Strava data.Plus, we are all guilty of being competetive are we not?
What does it matter if there's a faster time? You know you're the fastest person to cycle that stretch of road, while using Strava, assuming yours and everyone else's data is accurate.
