I'm a bit confused on this now. I was going to put my name down on the list a few days back and did not. Without having to read back through a number of pages, would someone kindly update me on the situation?
The white with black sleeves and yellow side panel is the final design:

It will have the Smiley and official "Speed matters" across the three rear pockets as below:

The other list is purely to get an idea of numbers. We are asking people not to put their names down unless they are fairly certain of purchasing.

The cost will be £50-£60. The general consensus is that people would prefer to pay say £10 more and get a better quality top.

We have just commenced the process of producing a pattern and, from that a prototype.

Won't a full zip cut straight through the smiley

If it does it'll look crap imo.

Short zip for me.

The zip will be fully hidden, like this:

None of my jerseys have a full length zip, but I wish they all did. Pulling a sweaty cycling top over one's head is a proper PITA, so a full zip will be more than welcome, especially if it is as well disguised as the one in the photo, and fitted to a high quality jersey. Bring it on!

My opinion on the zip; happy either way. Have some that a short, have some that are full, and after a long ride it hurts getting it off no matter what hehe

Just a thought but if we are going high quality - I had a shirt from Milltag ( http://milltag.cc/) and a couple of features were an improvement on the PH Foska ones IMHO:

- Sticky rubber stuff on the inside of the waistband and on the end of the arms. Stops the shirt riding up.
- Zip pocket on the back. Means my phone/wallet is secure.

It was £75 custom design though...!

Good comments.

What was not so good about the Foska ones in particular?

Nothing really, but they didn't have those features (more expensive to manufacture I guess).
Side-by-side the quality of the Milltag material is much higher too. It's sort of more "springy". Although that would keep the roadies happy, it might annoy the MTBers - the Foska was better for a roady/MTB cross-over usage. Tight but not too tight.

Looking forward to this.

Full zip fine by me as its the only combo I don't have. £60 is acceptable if it's a really nice piece of kit as described.

My points of note -
Decent sized zip 'tag' helps with gloved hands.

Zip pocket on rear is nice if possible, just the middle one would be fine.

Silicone gripper on sleeves and tail is also very nice to have and keeps the fit nice.

My white foska one is great, it's still going strong now.

My only comment would be to get rid of all the speed matters stuff. It's a bit naff especially on the back of a cycle jersey when cars are stuck behind you. Just the smiley logo is enough.

I would strongly agree with this.

With a back-pack on and commuting - often "Speed Matters" written on my arse is all the car behind can see.

I imagine them seeing it and thinking I am a member of Brake or something.

You could change it for a big PistonHeads.com logo if you have to have something there.

+2.

Naturally they'll want some branding but just a web address would be fine IMO. The speed matters thing doesn't really work on a bike.

The position/size/prominence of "speed matters" is already being considered smile

How about none of it? Just the smilies.

I like the smilie branding but don't really want any big car website address across my back. It's already on the arms anyway.

None of it at all. It's really naff.
