I disagree, I like the Speed Matters tagline but agree it could be positioned in a less akward place - maybe a small on on the arm/collar/chest area/other less prominent area?

The white with black sleeves and yellow side panel is the final design:

We have just commenced the process of producing a pattern and, from that a prototype.
Thanks for the reply to my question. I will keep an eye on this thread and hopefully purchase one when these jerseys become available.

Im looking forward to the final product.

Not fussed about the speed matters logo - it will be worn mostly off road where speed does matter haha!

The position/size/prominence of "speed matters" is already being considered smile
None of it at all. It's really naff.
It may be in your opinion, but it is the brand logo of the business and, if memory serves rightly, precedes the Smiley. I personally am not a fan of the Smiley, but it is part of the organisation's, that we are all part of, branding and as such, it has a place. It is a case of balance.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that this is first and foremost, a Pistonheads item of clothing smile

Not fussed about whether "speed matters" is on it or not but seeing its part of Pistonheads I will proudly where it wherever it is.
I would like a zip on the central rear pocket though to secure my phone in, if you have an off and need to ring for help at least its only behind you and not buried in the undergrowth somewhere never to be found again...

It's just a phrase, there is still the web address on the arms and the smiley on the front back and and arms. There's plenty of PH branded stuff in the shop without "speed matters" on it. There's all kinds of combinations of the branding on items.

"Speed matters" on the back of a cycle jersey looks really stupid

We could have a vote?

Why do you think 'speed matters' look stupid? You've obviously never seen me going downhill! I overtook a Yaris last week lol (sarcastic woo!)

Final artwork/design is being done by the jersey manufacturer which will hopefully be approved sometime over the next week. Then the first prototype will be produced and tested for fit and quality.

The next you guys will see will be a live jersey so that you can all see the final look, along with a sizing matrix.

It is a from scratch, completely bespoke jersey and I am sure it will be worth the wait smile

This is the bit I don't understand. Why? it's not like the cyclists on PH have any specific requirements of a cycling jersey. There are plenty of perfectly acceptable jerseys already on the market with all the features already mentioned in this thread. Why re-invent the wheel?

Not sure I understand your point? Do you think Shutt VR (eg) or another quality jersey will just allow PH to piggy back and not ask for a pound of flesh?

Any manufacturer or wholesaler will want their (big) take. The pros (for me anyway) out weigh the cons.... Bespoke does not always mean expensive tat!

I've just added myself to the oddly titled "unofficial list" but wondered why the list that was growing nicely from p6 of this thread didn't make it into that list in it's entirety? Hopefully I'm not too late to join in the fun. Again.

Without reading through the whole thread has a manufacturer been sourced?
I used http://www.godfrey.co.uk/ recently to make a one-off shirt for me.
