Am i reading it right that on a Motoring forum there are around 130 or so failry firm commitments to buy a cycling jersey? So, by definition, keen or regular cyclists? God forbid....

If you want to see something really scary, there was a thread on bikeradar with 5 or 6 audi rs owners on one page. That certainly upset some of the regulars smile

Any update on this? Is it still progressing?
Yes - the first sample has been received and is under consideration smile

We would rather get it right first time than rush it, especially as it is going to be a s/s jersey, so not urgent for autumn/winter use.

As soon as we have an approved jersey that we are happy with we'll keep you posted and then set up a poll for sizing along with a guide.

I think we need a pic to see how it looks. Fancy giving us a sneak preview

You're not working hard enough if you're not wearig a s/s all year round.

I guess enthusiasts are just enthusiastic people by nature? smile

And unlike PH, that BikeRadar stat probably has quite a scary high percentage of total RS ownership in the UK? smilesmile There aren't that many are there?

How much extra would it be to get names printed down the sides?

Not so much the expense, but the logistics. We may order a few overs in case anyone misjudges their size ahem - with a name on there is no chance of swapping.

Fair enough. Maybe an after service then. Be good if it could be done.

I know you're testing it and doing it thouroughly, but we're chomping at the bit, any initial impressions?
Also any overs could well get snatched up by people wanting a spare, if you ride daily you need fresh ones smile

Nothing to stop you doing this yourself - proper PITA for PH to organise, though.

The initial impressions are that we need it to be right. Once we have it right we will take orders. Sorry, but we can't get into discussions on first opinions or it will just open the floodgates to no purpose.

I do know that the end jersey will be one that I will be happy to wear, and I'm a fussy sod, as a few here on PH will testify! smile

If it's a summer jersey then fine, carry on. For fifty notes I'll want it to be good. wink

Update:

We have been working with a sportswear manufacturer to produce a cycling jersey of both a quality and price that will be acceptable to us all. This would be the first cycling jersey that this company has produced and, it is naturally a steep learning curve. The first prototype produced still has some way to go.

As a safe backstop we are looking at a tried and tested cycling apparel manufacturer to produce the first batch. I know it is taking some time but we want everyone to be happy with the jerseys. I have a sample of one of their current jerseys and the quality is good.

The only downside is that it does not have a zipped rear pocket.

Please bear with us, it will be worth it smile

Why not just go with a known quantity ie Foska.

Does seem like this is being made far more difficult that it needs to be.

Yep. Standard sizes, known quality, easy.
