As said previously, this is a short sleeved top and I for one cant see myself wearing it till next year so we have plenty of time to get it right.

Really would like that zipped rear pocket though to secure phone and keys please.

I've got a couple of the standard jerseys from these people, and can't recommend them enough. Great quality, great fit, and with all the features mentioned in the other thread.

They do custom designs, and with the length of the list of "wants" it would be at a very good price too.

I've no connection other than being a very happy customer of theirs.

I am ashamed of all these people who don't wear S/S except when it's sunny and with a following wind!!
Arm warmers, arm warmers, thrice arm warmers...

The first two that PH did by Foska really fit the bill IMHO.
Zip pocket a nice to have not a must have.
Shirt is a must have!

Indeed - personally I have normal bib shorts and s/s jersey and then wear arm/leg/knee warmers in addition. Not least because it provides versatility when out - on all but the coldest days I often get half way up a hill baking hot! biggrin

Ok - we now have two established jersey manufacturers lined up and I have samples from each:

No1) Good quality and I have been using one of their jerseys for a couple of months now. However, they cannot supply a zipped rear pocket at the moment.

No2) Again, the sample seems decent quality and they do offer a rear zipped pocket. Cost is about £5 more than No1.

These jerseys are made from modern breathable performance fabrics, (think R-Tex and Coolmax) rather than the expensive Marino wool mixes of Rapha. Therefore overall cost should be less than £40 as opposed to £50.

In my purely subjective opinion, No1 nudges it slightly on quality but there is not much in it. It is whether people are that bothered about having a zipped pocket. I'm not as the pockets are plenty deep enough for the contents to stay put even if you have an off.

Thoughts?

The lack of a zipped pocket would not be a show stopper for me and at £40 I'd probably get 2.

Not bothered about the zip. The phone can go in the saddle bag.

Zip would be nice, but quality probably more important.

As above, zip would be a nice to have, but no deal breaker, plus it's cheaper.

Personally would prefer a zip pocket for phone, but would buy a couple of either.

Not fussed about a zip (although I like the one in my Foska jersey) and quality is definitely more important.

Are there any indications on timescales yet?

Snap - quality is far more important than a zip in my mind smile a few of my jerseys don't have zips anyway

As long as the pocket is deep enough, a zip is just adding weight biggrin

Easy enough to add velcro yourself if zip not possible

Why not let us know who the suppliers are, in case anyone has any personal experience. Not sure why it's hush hush TBH :S
