Just got some of these, in black asnk one had yellow. They are brilliant, can't believe I waited 2 years before getting some.
How are these for size, my current Specliazed MTB cleat shoes are 11.

I decided to change the front chain rings in preparation for upcoming rides from a 52/36 to a 48/32. With a short cage rear derailleur I didn't want to get the hanger extension at this point.

Annoying I had to take the whole crank off due to the hidden bolt behind the crank arm

It looks so tiny on the bike but I'm sure I will be glad to have it soon.

Do you live on your own?

Just fitted some Hope RX4+ callipers and Bontrager NCS mudguards to my Cannondale Topstone.

After watching Hope's video on fitting the callipers it is relatively straightforward but getting all of the air out of the front one was a pain whereas they suggest the rear is the awkward one.

I like a good torch and I fancy a bit of night trail riding on my new (to me) Orange Surge

So - this mounted to the bike

And this strapped to the peak of my helmet

I’ve been warned against having a head/helmet torch that’s too dim when compared with the bike headlamp, so I’ll probably run the headlamp at half-power and the helmet lamp at full power. A combined 8,000 lumens should be enough….

Pinched on little toe first few outings but I've either got used to it or they stretched. Spot on now
Thank you, I forgot to reply. I went ahead and bought them, in the grey colour. Very nice, although it will get a bit to get used to. So stiff! My feet didn't ache, not much anyway, so much better than the narrow Fizik ones.

Both from Magicshine. Website is a bit clunky, but the products are good and I’ve found the service is excellent.

Some of the Magicshine lights are the same units as OLight kit, but for quite a bit less cash.

The 8000 lumen headlamp gives a much broader spread than the 3500 lumen version - the latter gives more of a beam.

Due for delivery today, seemed too cheap not to have a punt and see what they're like....

For £70 I'm getting a shifter, clutch mech and a cassette. Yes 10 speed but it's what I run anyway for cost and reliability reasons and the cassette is an 11-48 anyway so plenty of range.

Completely unknown brand to me but they're Taiwanese and seem to get good reviews, only negative I've read is lever travel being a bit long but I can live with that for the cost.

Just a thing I found to my cost, sticking a helmet light on for night rides earnt me pelters off my mates for blinding them every time one of them said something & I looked round hehe

Picked up a pair of these in the CRC sale. Had to go 2 sizes up with them having a very narrow front end, they are very comfortable but not tested for warmth yet.

Also purchased a Mudhugger medium for the MTB.

Mine are the same size as the Shimano and Sidi summer shoes I've had. They would need to be a size bigger to work well with really thick winter socks.

I’ve got similar NW boots. Allegedly artic rated. My feet still froze after 10 miles. I’m wearing overshoes as well now & they help a lot but I still wouldn’t say toasty.

I've got a set, although they've only been tested in 10C so far. Kept my feet dry from the road spray, nice and comfortably warm. Lower temps may want two sets of socks.

I was tempted, but couldn't justify the cost for a couple months of the year. Instead bought a pair of Sealskinz socks, and cheap Carnac overshoes. Wore with my ancient DMT summer shoes through the cold snap in December with zero issues.

Shock service required unobtanium part, well in the UK anyway...thankfully Bike Inn had them in stock.

Accidently added some goggle bling to my cart for the summer too smile

I have Microshift bar endshifters on one of my tourers. Probably better than the Shimano ones on the other tourer. Both work. The Microshift have a nicer feeking click. No big deal. Quality feels/looks as good if not better.

I wouldn't hesitate buying Microshift kit.

Today the deliveryman brought me a cheap 8/9 Speed 700C Alivio hub wheel from Bankrupt Bikes. I like having a spare. My last spare was fitted to my son's bike after he burst a wheel in a crash.

£40 delivered including a spoke key tool which fits 3 sizes and includes a flat and crosshead a screwdriver.
