It was Ribble, You'd pay that for the Charger damper alone, couldn't pass it up.

Argh, looks like they've sold out which is a massive shame, they would have been perfect for my wife's Fuel EX!

Ha, great minds; I was going to stick them on my wife's Liv Intrigue smile

TBH, if I was looking for a Rockshox upgrade on the (relative) cheap, I'd buy a secondhand Yari with motion control & put a charger damper in it & voila! instant Lyrik.

Does anyone know what these red coloured bolts inside the seat clamp are called?

Is there a keyword I could search for or a standard measurement? Thanks

Time for a new cassette/chain on the Orbea Wild......unboxed off flea bay, around £20+ cheaper than elsewhere so an extra one for the war chest as we know these aren't getting cheaper.

Barrel nuts. Size wise you'll need to measure yours as well as work out the bolt size, likely m5....

Great quality - never had a proper cycling top before. Easy to ventilate, high collar which is always a must, big patch of neon yellow on the back to prevent the SAS/MAMIL look which I’m not keen on.

Properly long sleeves as well which is a bonus for me. Love it.

Had my Arkose nicked at the weekend - double locked in broad daylight in a busy area … frown … so my next purchase will have to be a replacement gravel bike.

Having had three bikes nicked now, two from outside the pool complex at a Centerparcs, and one from outside the shop where my son was working, I feel your pain. None of the bikes we lost would have been considered "high end", either. And all were locked with "proper" brand name 'sold secure' locks.

It's a huge source of frustration for me. I'd really like to make more use of my bike(s) for "normal life" stuff. Appointments, shopping, errands, etc. But it's the anxiety that you're going to get back to where you left it and find it's no longer there that has me either walking the shorter trips, or reaching for the car keys. We'll never persuade the average person out of their car and onto a bicycle for local trips unless they can be at least as confident of their bike being safe from thieves as their cars are.

My most recent purchase of bike bits? A Shimano 10-speed 11-36t gear cassette, from UK Bike Parts. Price was great. Delivery, despite EVRi being involved, was great, once it was in the hands of the courier. But "Holy ticking clocks, Batman...", it took them4 days to process and consign a simple one item order. Good price, but don't order from them if you're in any kind of hurry. "Order confirmed" email received on 14th April, "order dispatched" email received 19th April, item delivered smack in the middle of the two-hour forecast delivery window on 20th April.

Sorry to hear that.

I just walk to the train station now rather than taking the bike. Leaving it all day at the station is not really an option these days.

Latest purchase was some DMR V12 magnesium pedals for my hybrid. They looked quite big when I put them on but they are lovely things - light and grippy.

Relaxed biglaugh

I went out for my first real ride this year on Sunday btw. Chanctonbury and then down the Lyons trail and back up the pigs farm. It was lovely!

Nice! I'm on the injured list right now but my last ride was essentially that route minus the Lions trail. The pig track was reassuringly smelly - stopped to take a photo looking toward the Bostal road.

Any idea when Wiggle started charging for drop off returns? Just been billed £2.99 for the pleasure. I don't even think Wiggle were the cheapest either, but they've always been the most convenient with free returns.

Treated myself to the new Rapha/Paul Smith collaboration jersey. Not cheap but looks like it has some nice little touches.
